Miss Sadie's Home for Wayward Youth RP

"It could happen," he said encouragingly, nodding his head along with it. He walked up to her and straightened his hat, he looked up at the sky, "almost noon," he muttered, "would you like to go on a picnic?" he asked, looking back down at her.

"Maybe, depending on the food and the thins we do. Where would we have one?" Natalie responded. She was starting to get hungry as well, for she always did after running. And oatmeal wasn't her favorite, so it didn't settle in her stomach the best.

Adam stepped back and took a look around, then the perfect spot popped into his head, he walked back over to her and lowered his head, "Can you keep a secret?" he whispered in her ear.

"Of course I can. Not being able to keep a secret means you're going to get in a lot of trouble one way or another," Natalie replied, wondering what he had in mind.

Jamie grinned and nodded.

James snapped the reins and his clysdale took off.

"Alright, on my mark, one. two. three. GO!" she yelled and then Lightning propelled out into the field in a full gallop.

Archer grinned and Beast trotted a little faster, "if things get too bad for you, Kevin, just give us a yell!" he called and filled the gap between Kevin and James.

Adam smiled, "stay here," he instructed and then slipped inside the house. He walked to the kitchen where he found Miss Sadie, "Hey, Miss Sadie, would it be alright if Natalie and I go out for a picnic for lunch? She doesn't seem to be making many friends around here, so I thought it would be-" Miss Sadie lifted up her hand and smiled, "Of course dear, I'll pack you a lunch to go real quick!" she said cheerfully. She quickly packed a small basket filled with two sandwiches, two apples, some celery and carrot sticks, and a thermos filled with apple juice. Adam scampered back outside to where he left Natalie, "Alright, we're all set to go!" he said happily.

Jamie laughed and used her dads trick to make Twilight faster and shot ahead of Lighting.

James grinned and dug his heels in and Gypsy ran faster. She soon reached the meadow Lighting and Twilight due to the amount of horse power she has.

Jamie smiled and kicked Lightning into high gear, his mustang roots poured out of him and they charged around the turn and shot into the lead ahead of Twilight and Jessie. She smiled when she saw James at the front of the meadow waiting for her; it encouraged and drove her spirit.

James grinned and waved at the two girls.

Jessie turned back to look at Archer and wave and then turned around and suddenly Twilight reared up and bolted into the forest past both Lighting and Gypsy. Twilight crashed through the forest and Jessie was hit on the face and arms by branches that cut her face and arms. Suddenly Jessie's head hit a branch and he fell off Twilight and hit her head on the ground and passed out and Twilight bounded off and stopped 15 feet away.

Archer watched, horrified at the event, he crashed through the trees and stopped at her body. He slid off Beauty's back and knelt down beside her.

Jamie came running up behind him, "Don't move her yet!" she yelled as she approached. She looked down at Jessie.

"Why not?" he asked, terrified that something bad had happened to the girl he liked.

"Because," she looked at Jessie's hands and legs, "when someone has a head injury occur, there can be spinal damage, she's lucky that didn't happen. Alright, James," she said turning to him, "You rope Twilight and take her back to the barn, Archer," she looked around the woods for something useful, she walked to Lightning and took off the rolled up blanket and extra rope she kept on her saddle. "Here, tie this rope through the blanket, I don't care if you have to cut it or what but just do it!" Quickly she worked to get the other lead off Lightning and attached it to the ropes that Archer had attached to the blanket. "Now, I will need your help, lift her onto the blanket, and I will pull her out of here." Slowly Archer scooped the motionless girl up into his arms and gently laid her onto the blanket sled. Jamie mounted Lightning and swiftly but cautiously drug Jessie's body out of the woods and back to the barn.

Kevin had no idea what to do. He knew what to do if someone had a head injury, of course. But he didn't want to make a mistake at the cost of someone's health. Kevin did his best to steer Beauty towards the barn, but he still couldn't go very fast. As soon as he had ridden to the barn, he scrambled off Beauty and lead her to her stall.
"Sorry girl," he mumbled to her, feeling bad for rushing. He ran a little closer to the girl on the horse, glad to be putting his skills to good use. "Sorry to bother you, but did you check her pulse and breathing rate? Those usually can tell you how much medical treatment she needs before she wakes up." Kevin hoped she already knew this, but wanted to tell her just in case.

"Of course I did, she's stable, but I don't know for how long." Jamie slid off Lightning and knelt down next to Jessie, "I took an Athletic Injuries course along side with Anatomy last year during high school. I have some medical experience, but not enough to heal her alone.' Jamie looked up, "Archer, go to the house and tell Miss Sadie what happened, she'll know what to do!" Archer immediately ran to the house and told Miss Sadie what happened. She got on the phone and called the local hospital, who said they were going to send someone right away. Moments later, after Jamie and Kevin got Jessie to the house, a doctor and a team of nurses arrived and set up a make-shift office.

After moments of looking her over, the team came out to talk with Miss Sadie. "Alright, she will be fine, just a slight bump on the head, she'll be fine by morning, just no strenuous activity for at least fourty-eight hours, if anything happens just give me a call."

"How long until she wakes up doctor?" Jamie asked, her hair now fallen around her and dirt covering her face. The doctor smiled, "She should wake up within an hour, just don't upset her in anyway." he instructed, and then he and his team left.

OOC: I was hoping to put Jessie in a coma for a little bit

IC: James roped Twilight and walked her back to Gypsy and hopped on pulling Twilight back to the barn.

OOC: Okay, we can just have her not wake up and then the doctors bring her into the hospital.

Jamie walked into the living room where Jessie lay, she sat down beside her and took her hand in her's. "I need you here..." she mumbled, "you can't leave..." she said a silent prayer and then stood up so Archer could take her place. She went out into the hall, walked out on the front porch, sat down on the steps and rested her head in her hands.

Archer crouched beside Jessie, he held her hand tightly and waited for her to return to him.

Jessie could hear and feel wneryrhing she just couldn't move or speak. She laid there helpless and wishing that she could hold his hand back.

James put in hand on Archer's shoulder sadly.
