A multipurpose patrol ((CLOSED))

Sitting at the camp entrance, Tinylegs let out a sigh, hoping someone would join him for a patrol. Clan life had been interesting lately, and the small tom needed a break from the bustling camp and expected to find some relaxation on a hunting patrol. I just hope there's prey to find, he thought to himself, seeing that Leafbare was coming to a slow end.

"Patrol?" Eagleheart grunted as he padded over to Tinylegs. Ever since the small warrior had chastised him for taking Addergaze out when she was an apprentice, he'd not been overly friendly towards him. Not that Eagleheart was overly friendly towards anyone. He was trying to get over it though. Besides, him and Tinylegs had similar opinions on certain things and Eagleheart needed to keep himself busy.

Turning his head at a voice, Tinylegs stood up to face Eagleheart. For some reason, he wasn't exactly friends with the other tom, but considering the fact that they both disliked Rippedsky, he wasn't going to dismiss his clanmate's presence. "Yes, let's get going," the small white tom mewed and headed out of the camp.

Once the two cats were padding through the forest, Tinylegs looked to Eagleheart as his little legs moved quickly, trying to keep up with the younger warrior's pace. "I was thinking that we'd get some hunting done and then patrol the borders," he commented, hoping Eagleheart agreed with his plan.

"Sounds good to me," Eagleheart agreed with the small tom. Noticing the tiny warrior's struggle to  keep up, Eagleheart slowed his pace a bit. All of him wanted to speed up, but he held back. While his muscles screamed to race through the forest, it wasn't the time. After already not being on the best terms with Tinylegs, he didn't want to make things worse.

The thought of patrolling the borders made made the warrior eager. Hunting would be fun, for sure, but the thought of defending the clan territory always set his teeth on edge. As they padded through the forest, he sheathed and unsheathed his claws. After a short while he caught scent of a thrush, pecking among the tree root. Silently, he slid forwards over the slowly thawing earth. As soon as he was close enough, he pounced. Before the bird could cry out, Eagleheart snapped it's neck in one swift move. Seconds later, he was burying it in the dirt to come back for later.

Padding alongside Eagleheart, Tinylegs watched as the warrior split off from his side to go hunt and decided that he might as well do some hunting as well.

Opening his jaw, the small warrior veered off the path and scented the air for prey. Catching sight of a small bird pecking at the ground, he took the hunting crouch position and stalked forward. After a few moments of waiting, Tinylegs pounced, and although it was somewhat a messy kill, he managed to drag the bird down to the ground before it flew away. Burying it for later, he licked the blood from his jaws and made his way back over to where he left Eagleheart.

"Hunting is good today," Eagleheart commented to break the silence that had settled between them. The tom was not the most talkative by any means, but feeling uncomfortable in situations was something he hated. And it was true, the hunting was not bad. With leafbare beginning to fade, the sun was up longer and the earth had begun to thaw. More full bellies in the clan, He thought, remembering how well fed everyone had been last greenleaf. Bitterness crept in when he considered the fact there would be one less mouth to feed now that Breezewhisker was gone. It should have been the Windclan cat. The large warrior shot a glance down at Tinylegs, debating whether or not he should share his thoughts out loud.

Giving a nod to Eagleheart's comment about hunting, Tinylegs started to make his way towards the river border, not wanting to patrol Highpine, the place where he'd lost his brother. After a few moments of walking through the silent forest, the small tom's mind was overwhelmed with thoughts and emotions about all of the recent events that had been happening in the clan. A WindClan cat joining their band of merry misfits, Antdrop dying, Breezewhisker leaving... it was all to much for him and he didn't no how to deal with all of the overwhelming feelings.

Well, Eagleheart wasn't a big fan of Rippedsky either, right? Maybe he felt the same way, or... maybe not. "I'm assuming that you don't want accept Breezewhisker leaving, when he shouldn't have been the one to leave," he started, somewhat wishing that he'd stayed quiet. "Correct?" he asked the tom, slowing his pace when they neared the river, and looked up to his companion and trying not to show the pain in his eyes.

Eagleheart was mildly disappointed they avoided the Shadowclan border. He had become unhealthily attracted to the Shadowclan territory now that desire to see his kits drove him. However, the warrior could understand the small warrior's desire to avoid that area. For a moment, things were silent as they padded along. Eagleheart constantly scented the air, tasting it for enemy cats. When Tinylegs spoke, he snapped into attention.

"Yes," He growled lowly, with a stiff nod. His claws dug into the ground as he remembered the confrontation in camp, "We lost a good warrior. One that we shouldn't have lost."

Nodding to Eagleheart's reply, the small tom couldn't help but let out a soft growl under his breath. Walking a few steps away from the other warrior, he marked the river border a couple times and padded back over to Eagleheart, his fur starting to bristle as he thought more about Rippedsky.

"That coward," he spat, his long, white and faintly grey tail lashing back and forth. "Running to our clan for shelter, unable to deal with his own leader... what a traitor," Tinylegs mewed, clawing the earth. What if SkyClan ever had problems like WindClan, would Rippedsky just desert them too? He wondered to himself and let out a sigh. "As much as I want to claw his ears off, I'm not going to, yet. We should probably get back to camp," he added, looking up to Eagleheart and started to walk back the way they came.

"Someday. Someday I will rip that Windclan idiot's throat out," He growled lowly. His long claws dug into the earth in frustration. As much as he wanted to stay out in the forest and avoid being around the black and white tom, Tinylegs was right. It was probably time to head back. He nodded and padded after the smaller tom.
