| Here is the basic idea....
Ryepaw, who is a flirtatious stud, has a few she-cats who have a crush on him. He notices, but his heart is set on a different she-cat who he's had a crush on since kithood. She doesn't think of him as anything more than a clanmate, so when Rye finally reveals his feelings he is shot down. Heartbroken, he starts being rude to others around him, and the other she-cats lose interest, leaving him alone. (Or so he thinks) Later on in life, he develops feelings for a close friend he has had since kithood. She reciprocates his feelings, and the two become mates.
(This plot starts when Rye becomes an apprentice, and goes on through warriorhood)

She-Cat Friend who becomes his mate (either a kit or very young apprentice)
