Mothkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Goldenfeather pelted back to camp through the heavy rain, carrying 3 mice. As she dropped them onto the fresh kill pile, the sun began to appear, and the rain stopped. She shook her pelt to get rid of the moisture, and headed towards the nursery to check on the kits. Only then did she realize that one of the kits was turning 6 moons old that day. She poked her head inside the warm den. "Mothkit? You there?"

Mothkit was washing her paw when she heard Goldenfeather.
She padded over to the warrior

"Hello!" Goldenfeather grinned. "Ready for your apprentice ceremony?"

Mothkit's eyes shine. "Yes!"

"Okay, come on!" Goldenfeather backed out of the nursery and bounded towards Highrock. She clambered up and yowled, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey, gather here beneath Highrock for a clan meeting!"

Mothkit padded over to the Highrock

"We gather here to make this kit an apprentice. Step forward." She beckoned for Mothkit to step up.

Mothkit steps forward

"From this day forward, until you earn your warrior name, you shall be known as Mothpaw. Leopardheart, you shall mentor her. I hope you will pass on all your courage and wisdom to this apprentice." Goldenfeather mewed.

Eyes sparkle with excitement
