Sandkit's Apprentice Ceremony

Bluesky sat in the shade of the highstump waiting for Sandkit.

"Hiya Bluesky. Your looking lovely today. What's goin on?" Sandkit walked up.

"Your six moons have gone by faster than you think. It's time for your apprentice ceremony." She leaped up and called the words, "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join beneath the highstump for a clan meeting!" She looked as all of the loyal members of RiverClan poured out from their dens. "We are gathered here today to make this kit into an apprentice. Step forward."

Sandkit stepped forward obediantly.

"From this day forward, until you have earned your warrior name, you shall be known as Sandpaw. Featherheart will be your mentor. Featherheart, Mistpelt trained you. Use the courage and smartness she taught you to train this apprentice."

Sandpaw waited for Featherheart to touch noses.

Featherheart touched noses.

Sandpaw shivered excitely.
