Lakepaw's Assessment

Thinstripe watched in the apprentices den and walked quietly in it, the sunlight beamed into the den. She searched for her apprentice Lakepaw soon finding his pelt color. She crouched besides him "Wake up you grump its time to start some more training" she meowed into Lakepaw's ears.

Lakepaw opened his eyes and flicked his ear in amusement. The light brown fluffy tom got up and followed Thinstripe. "Alright let do this." He purred and groomed his tabby pelt free of any moss or bedding.

Thinstripe purred and nodded "Today were going to be doing something important" she mewed "You are going to go hunt, but this time its a bit different. You will be hunting alone" she looked over at Lakepaw, she knew he could handle doing this.

Lakepaw nodded. "What do I have to catch?" The tom meowed blinking his light green eyes.

"Nothing in pacific, just hunt. I have a question for you" she mewed stopping in a grassy area "Where is the best spot to hunt?"

Lakepaw nodded. "The best place to hunt is the undergrowth.(?)" The fluffy light brown tom meowed.

OOC: I'm pretty sure, I'll just say yes.

"Yes" she mewed "Ready?" she started "Go"

Lakepaw nodded and padded off to go hunting. He opened his mouth and tasted the air for scents of prey. Find the scent of a mouse and a thrush nearby the tom decided to get the mouse first since it was closer. So without a sound the tom stalked the mouse and pounced on it and snapped its neck before it could make a sound, then he buried it and moved along. Stalking the thrush this time, taking his time to get into the proper pouncing distance the tom leaped and landed on the birds back biting its neck to swiftly kill it. Soon the tom had four more pieces of prey and went to go meet Thinstripe.

Thinstripe saw Lakepaw coming towards her, she nodded "Seems like you got a lot of kill" she purred with amusement "Dig a hole and hunt some more, this time longer. I wont be here the next time you return though" she suggested.

Lakepaw nodded and went out to hunt again.
~Time Skip~

Lakepaw flicked his tail as he looked at his catch. He ended up catching about 17 pieces of prey. He was sure that Thinstripe would be proud of him, so he went to go find her. He stalked through the undergrowth tracking her scent until it went crazy and everywhere, just like Thinstripe to turn this into a tracking game, as they often did so. so Lakepaw, crazy in love with his mentor as he was, blindly followed the scent trail unaware that Thinstripe was waiting to pounce.

OOC: Thought this be a fun thing to do I've done it before and it was fun

OOC: I like the idea

Thinstripe watched through the bushes at Lakepaw, she smiled and quietly mixed her scent up even more by walking in circles and turning back and forth. She crouched and watched Lakepaw again Almost ready... she reminded herself as she was planning to scare Lakepaw and pretend to be an attacker, she looked over at the border that she was closely at. Near the River she decided to take a bit of a swim. Thinstripe stalked over to the river, dipping her paws in the wet and cold w that yet felt good on her fur. She walked into the river then later on coming back out, her scent was now smelling like RiverClan. She prodded over to the spot she had been at before and shifted her hind legs so she could attack Lakepaw easily.

OOC: Wanna turn this into a mock battle? Like Lakepaw knows who it is when he sees her but he obviously pretends that she is a Riverclan cat and yeah

IC: Lakepaw's playful smiled melted when he smelled Riverclan over Thinstripe's sweet scent. The tom whipped his head around looking for the cat but since her pelt couldn't, be seen through the thick new-leaf growth, he was open for attack.

OOC: Yeah

Thinstripe sharpend her gaze on Lakepaw, she kept her claws sheathed though. She smiled again Let's see how this works out she thought, ready she powerfully leaped up and aimed at Lakepaw. She looked at his amazing ginger fur. Tumbling over on him not as she planned she quickly stopped rolling over and sunk her claws into the ground, ending up pinning him down she realized she had accidently touched noses with her apprentice. Laughing she rolled off of him and stood up, ready for him to attack.

Lakepaw laughed and got up. He smoothed down his fluffy light brown pelt and licked his fur. "Hey you, Riverclan warrior! He he. What are you doing on Thunderclan's territory. He he." Lakepaw meowed pretending to be mad.

OOC: Got the pelt color wrong sorry

Thinstripe laughed quietly knowing that Lakepaw had been pretending "Oh the usual" she meowed with a bit of amusement in her voice.
