Jaypaw kept his grip and balance, he narrowed his eyes and dug one claw into the groundhog.

Finally, the groundhog managed to break free. He scampered out from under Jaypaw, then turned to attack, when something jumped out at him from a tree and attacked.

Now that the groundhog was free, Silverstone felt like she needed to help. With a loud yowl, she jumped down from the tree and charged at the groundhog, running into it at full-force and causing it to go flying a few feet before it fell to the ground.

Jaypaw jumped up and clawed the groundhogs face with a unsheathed claw, growling he looked at his mentor to see if he had done it right.

"Good job," Silverstone said as she watched Jaypaw. "You are learning very quick...." Before she could finish, the Groundhog had smashed her with one of it's big paws and sent her flying to the ground. The warrior let out a yowl as blood started to trickle down her face, where she had been hit.

Jaypaw's eyes widened as his mento was knocked back "Silverstone!" he yowled, Jaypaw looked over at the groundhog and growled. He ran to the groundhog and opened his mouth ready to attack, he dug his claws into the groundhog and bit down on its scruff shaking it.

"Don't worry, I'm okay," Silverstone gasped as she stumbled to her feet. She was more shocked than hurt, but then the pain finally kicked in. With a wince, she walked over to Jaypaw. "I saw that move you did...Killing Bite...It was really cool. Just try not to use it on a cat, okay?" She shook blood from her pelt, then blinked tiredness from her eyes. Suddenly, an idea came to her, and the tiredness washed away and her eyes glowed. "Hey, let's go to the river so we can wash this blood off. Maybe we can try to swim like those fish-lover Riverclan cats." She laughed, then started toward the river, leaving the corpse of the groundhog behind to rot.

Jaypaw nodded "I wont" he promised and looked down at the stream that they were coming close to "Hopefully we don't run into a patrol..." he mewed looking at his mentor starting to become worried.

"Stop being such a worrywart, Jaypaw," Silverstone purred with a smile. "The worst that could happen is we get killed." She giggled, then flicked her apprentice's nose with her silver tail and ran the rest of the way to the River. Once she reached it's bank, the warrior splashed into the shallow part of it's waters and made a face as the icky feeling of wet fur began to set in. "Ugh, I always hated this feeling," she hissed as she pinched her eyes closed.

Jaypaw raced after her and halted at the bank, he dipped his paw in the water then put it fully in "Don't seem so bad" he mewed jumping in splashing a bit of water "It's a little cold I suppose"

Once all of the scarlet liquid was washed off, Silverstone turned to look back at her apprentice. "Come on, let's go in deeper and try to swim." She sloshed forward through the light current until the water was up to her neck. She lifted her feet off of the sandy bottom and kicked around, dog-paddling in the water. She splashed as she tried to swim and was really loud, but at least she was staying afloat. "Man, I've never swam in the middle of the night before....actually, I never swam at all," she purred as she kicked hard with her paws and legs, struggling to keep her head above the water.

Jaypaw laughed "Then this will be an experience for both of us" he joked trying to swim, his paws scratched the rocks as he swam to the deeper end. His head dropped into the water and popped his head back up, Jaypaw struggled as he reached Silverstone.

A sudden, strong current smashed into Silverstone as she swam deeper and got sucked under the surface. Panicking, she thrashed around until she found the bottom of the River, then kicked off and darted upwards. The moment her head broke the surface, Silverstone sucked in a long, heavy breath to fill her burning lungs. The current was carrying her away from Jaypaw, down the River. Silverstone kicked hard and slowly, she started to make her way back to Jaypapw with great effort. "Okay....I think....It's time....to go now," she gasped in between strangled breaths as she struggled to keep her head above the waves. The she-cat kept popping under the water and back up, as the River pulled her under. She was growing more weaker and tired from trying to swim with every passing moment. "Head....back to....the bank. I'll...meet you....there."

Jaypaw nodded, his mentor must have been tired from training and fighting the groundhog. He unsheathed his claws and pulled the stones so he could reach the bank. Finally with his fur soaking Jaypaw reached the bank and pulled his body up to land, he shook of a ton of water and searched for his mentor hoping she had made it back.
