A Solemn Welcome-Back

With a blush and a nod, Aurastorm obediently followed.

With a sudden burst of speed, she raced off towards the camp.

Feeling oh-so suddenly playful, Aurastorm sped toward Darkshadow in a millisecond, attempting to catch up to her.

Noticing Aurastorms advance, she speeded even further up ahead in an attempt to tease him.

Aurastorm surged on and, with one powerful jump, pounced on Darkshadow, clinging to her back as the pair rolled along the forest floor.

A distant memory flashed in her mind. Tumbling to the ground with Aurastorm clinging to her back, she let out a squeal of joy.

Hearing Darkshadow's squeals, Aurastorm started to laugh lively as they rolled along the grass and flowers that lined the undergrowth.

As they ran about, she repeatedly tries to bat at his muzzle or nip at his paw.

Aurastorm, as he continued to roll around with Darkshadow, teasingly gave one of her flailing paws another lick as they rolled towards camp.

Skidding to a halt at the entrance of the camp, she brushed her fur off and walked into the warriors den. "Come on." She whispered.

Aurastorm snuck in directly behind her, remaining quiet enough so that he doesn't arouse the other sleeping clanmates.

Settling herself down in their nest, she curled up in the soft moss.

Aurastorm sat right beside her, a faint blush coloring his cheeks as he felt the comfort of the moss and nest on one side and the warmth of Darkshadow's fur on the other. As he situated himself, he turned to face her and grazed his tongue along her cheek, whispering gently in her ear. "This has been the perfect day..."

She pressed herself closer to the moss and Aurastorms flank. "Yes, it has. . ." She meowed happily.

"And it'll only keep getting better with each passing day, right?" he grinned.
