The Royal Grump

Troutpaw sat in the clearing being his usual grumpy self. He never could understand why he hated everything, but it made sense to him. But what really got him mad was the fact that he had to train with his mother and brother. He wanted someone different, not someone he spent tons of timevwith in the nursery. He gave a snort and hoped no cat would talk to him......

Oakpaw felt bored, wanting something to do. He thought it was best to hunt, but the tom didn't want to hunt on his own. Finding Troutpaw in the clearing, Oakpaw sat up from the apprentices' den, stretching his tired limbs and padded towards the apprentice. Maybe this isn't a good idea. He doesn't look so happy. "Hey, Troutpaw!" he mewed cheerfully, "I've been bored here, and I was wondering if you'd like to go hunt with me? I-it's fine if you don't want to, or anything," he nervously mewed, seeing how grumpy Troutpaw looked.

Great. He thought to himself as Oakpaw came over to talk to him. Then again... "Yeah, this camp is pretty boring. Maybe." he said boredly. As hard as he tried to be nice, he couldn't do it very well but hoped that Oakpaw could see his efforts.

Oakpaw sighed in relief. At least, he's easy to talk to, despite the mood. "Maybe? Come on Troutpaw, it'll be fun!" Glancing at the fresh-kill pile, Oakpaw noticed the lack of fresh-kill: small amounts of prey just waiting to be taken. "I bet the Clan needs some apprentices like us to feed them. I'll wait at the entrance for you, if you decide to join," Oakpaw said, hoping that Troutpaw did join him. He scampered to the entrance, and waited.

"Okay fine." he sighed a more happy sign. Maybe this apprentice could be his friend even if Troutpaw didn't really have any friends.. He got up and followed Oakpaw.

Whitepaw finally heaved himself out of his nest, I've slept long enough. Today was an off day, his mentor, and mother, had decided to take the day to go be with friends leaving him and his younger brother alone. As he slunk out of the apprentices den his amber eyes caught Troutpaw and Oakpaw talking, then leaving camp together. A slightly jealous ginger and white apprentice pinned his ears and followed glumily. I wanna go too..

The wind blew toards Troutpaw and he caught a whiff of his brothers scent. He turned around to see Whitepaw staring coldly at them. Should I let him come? he asked himself. Well I might as well, or I will never hear the end of it. "Hey Oakpaw, mind if Whitepaw tags along with us?" he asked his friend. "I could care less if he comes, but wanted to make sure it was okay with you." he said plainly, turning to Oakpaw.

Oakpaw jumped in delight when Troutpaw decided to join. "Great!" he mewed with glee, as the apprentices began to exit the camp. Before they could exit, Oakpaw was interrupted by Troutpaw. Seeing the brother of Troutpaw, Oakpaw nodded. "Of course! Anyone is welcome," the tom mewed cheerfully at Troutpaw and Whitepaw, and headed towards the river.

OCC: Either we can create a new topic at the RiverClan territory or continue roleplaying in this. I don't mind whatever :P
