Finding Smokekit?

So Cat and I have been talking about bring Smokekit back after losing him to Rouges as mentioned in this thread. And we had this idea of Nettlepaw going off to rescue/find her brother who we think has been taken by rouges with Sunpaw.

So we were wondering if any rouges would be interested in taking part in this side plot, you don't have to play the villain, you can help find Smokekit. Or maybe there's been a misunderstanding over Smokekit. Or you can be the antagonist who kidnapped Smokekit for whatever reason.

Also for Windclan warriors, an apprentice and an apprentice medicine cat will be disappearing from camp during a very tense time. Maybe there could be a misunderstanding with other clans? So some clans suspect it may have been Riverclan cats who attacked or kidnapped them? So Sunpaw for his expertise's on healing, and Nettlepaw as collateral, or killed them for whatever reason etc. This could be a good catalyst for conflict as cats can want retribution.

I'll offer drift to be in this plot. I don't want him to be a bad guy though...maybe ha can help find the kit or he could've taken the kit from the rouge who stole smokekit and take care of smokekit until the windclan cats find him. Something like that maybe? If we go with the second option, he could give Smokekit to Shimmerlight to give to windclan and it looks like Riverclan stole the kit or something. I don't know. Those are just my suggestions.

Maybe to make the plot more dramatic, Drift rescue Smokekit as you said and give him to Shimmerlight to take to WC. But Smokekit can't remember much but vague memories of Drift and Shimmerlight. So Smokekit thinks it was Drift and Shimmerlight who helped take him and he runs away from them back home even though they rescued him. And Nettlepaw and Sunpaw set off before Smokekit makes it home so they go missing to the clan and they think judging from Smokekit's story that the RC is responsible for kidnapping Smokekit, Nettlepaw and Sunpaw.
