I agree wiff Blossom, but here you go:

The Depression was a hard time for the people of America, and they were trying to push the Government to fix the problems. Kicking Hoover out of office was a plu: besides blaming him on the Depression, FDR came in and it was a good time. He made programs to get people money and jobs so we could get out of the Depression.
So within that time, people wrote to express the harships of the Depression and the corrupted government, and how people were living, or trying to live.
