October Gathering 2014

Rainstreak strode into the clearing. A smile was on her face and she was purring, looking at the moon with bright eyes.

Lightningstrike smiled. "Things are good in ThunderClan. How's WindClan lately?" he asked.

"That's good. Windclan is good, too." She sighed. She glanced around. "So...." She mewed, unsure of what to say.

OOC: Are we really just letting the gathering die? We have an open opportunity to make things interesting and it's doing nothing but sitting cx

As all of the clan cats gathered, Thrushstar finally figured it was time to finally start this gathering. All of the clans were here and each of the leaders seemed to be ready to get things over with. Stepping onto the egde of the rock, the Shadowclan leader let out a loud yowl to get the attention of all of the cats below. "It is time for the gathering to start. Shadowclan has done well. We have gained several new warriors since all of the clans saw each other last." he would have said the last gathering had that actually been the last time they had all seen each other. "We have also gained several new kits and apprentices. Prey has been good and so far, we have had no new signs of crossed borders." There really wasn't much to say from Shadowclan's side. Things had been rather uneventful lately, but Thrushstar saw that as a good thing.

Coalshade stood alone in the crowd of cats but nodded slowly in agreement to Thrushstar. Good so far.. At least no cat had tried to talk go him. He tried to make his paws stay grounded on the dirt and grass smiling at the few by passers. He was almost trembling with so many cats to watch his every move. He bent down and took one step towards the high rock the froze, sat down and remained sitting with much anxiety to leave.

Redcloud stride down into the clearing a small smile fixed upon her red face. Keeping her paws ahead she stopped and gazed around the clearing looking for anyone to talk to. Seeing although her view was blocked she snorted and sat down stumped with the problem. She casually smiled up at the high rock where the meeting had begun.

Ducksnap crossed the invisible line into the gathering. Seeing no one that he liked he looked for new comers to welcome. Seeing to few he spotted Rainstreak and walked over. Ducksnap flicked his ears wondering how to start a conversation with her.

Walking into the clearing as the gathering starts Hawkfeather looks around the clearing for a moment. Seeing a large group of Windclan cats nearby the she-cat weaved her way through the other clan cats towards her clanmates. Just as she reached the group of Windclan cats her eyes landed on Owlheart, who was sitting a fox-length away. Smiling, Hawkfeather padded over and sat beside Owlheart, speaking softly to him. "Hey Owlheart."

As Thrushstar called for the gathering to start Duskpaw rose from her spot outside of the clearing and moved inside of the circle of trees. Skirting the outer edge of cats Duskpaw sat down beside Fennelvloud silently and glared at a random spot in her line of veiw, making sure she wasn't looking in the direction of any other cats.

TigerPaw watched the ceremony from her spot alone. How could they just be at peace with other clans? Especially when they fought so much. They were all traders to her all except her own clan RiverClan.

Dazing off into the merging of cats, Spottedstar snapped her gaze back to Thruststar as he called together the gathering. Listening in to his report, she stepped up as he was done. "As most cats probably know already, but Dewstar has passed due to unfortunate events, and Starclan has accepted me as leader; my new deputy being Flameclaw. We have been blessed with kits, apprentices, and warriors, along with a healthy clan." she paused, looking back at the Skyclan representative. "After a big disagreement, I hope Skyclan keeps their promise, mostly for their own safety." she mused, before turning to Sun-fur? "And I wonder what has happened to Reedstar, but I assume it is going to be in Riverclans report." she finished with a sigh. Much to say, and much to think about.

IC:Even though she hadn't been looking at him Duskpaw had listened carefully to what Thrushstar had to say but as soonas the Thunderclan leader stepped forward she began tuning the cat out. Giving the she-cat on the top of the rock a glance Duskpaw suddenly realized she couldn't remember the other feline's name. Strangely bothered by this though Duskpaw glared up at the she-cat as she listed names in her head. 'Sandstar... No. Soulstar.... No. I know it starts with an s.... Snowstar.... No...'

Falconstar would be the next to report. Stepping forward after Spottedstar moved back, he mewed calmly, "WindClan is running smoothly as always. Our warriors grow stronger each day and our kits continue to grow along with them. There is plenty of prey to sustain us for the cold moons ahead, and our borders are well protected." He stepped back without so much as a glance towards the other leaders.

While mostly pondering what he was to say, Sunstar tuned out the leaders until the name of the former leader was spoken. Turning to look at Spottedstar momentarily, he looked down at the rock below him for a moment before he looked over the clearing. But once the WindClan leader spoke and finished his report, Sunstar stepped forward and meowed out, "Regrettedly I must report that our late leader, Reedstar, joined the ranks of StarClan between these two moons. Since then I have recieved my nine lives of a leader. But in light of this tragedy RiverClan has gained many new warriors and apprentices, and we are continuously growing." Stepping back into line Sunstar awaited for the next thing he must do, which he didn't know what it would be.

Breezetail said nothing as the other leaders spoke, biting his tongue and starin down at his feet, willing for the strength to stay silent and hold his pride - especially as the ThunderClan leader spoke. Her arrogance would lead her clan down a dark path, he thought bitterly, taking a deep breath and stepping forward at last. "SkyClan is sad to hear of the loss of RiverClan's leader. Reedstar was an honorable cat, fierce and true to his word. I hope that you lead your clan as well, Sunstar, and that our clans will continue to prosper." He nodded to the tom with a small smile before pausing, picking out the right words carefully. "Silentstar has gone to join StarClan, and as per her wish, I will travel up to the Moonstone tomorrow and recieve my nine lives as leader. May StarClan light all out paths. That is all." The gray tabby looked to his clanmates before stepping back again.

As the soon-to-be Skyclan leader stepped back Duskpaw stood and, after quickly glancing at Fennelcloud, padded off towards one of the clearing's exits. As she padded forward she didn't bother glancing back, doubting Fennelcloud or Thrushstar would notice her exit. It wasn't like she needed to be there any longer. The clans had all given their reports so as far as she was concerned the gathering was over. Pausing for only a moment at the exit Duskpaw glanced back at the large group of cats from all five clans before shaking her head and padding off into the darkened area beyond the moon-lit clearing.
