| A TALE OF SOTENAK- Spoiler:
The land of Sotenak is an interesting one. Born on the backs of Pokémon and persons alike, the country has thrived in both peace and war, chivalry and barbarianism. The Blade and the Move. Each of the land's ten provinces tells its own story. When combined, they create the Tale of Sotenak. With the will of kings and the strength of a champion, I invite you to set forth onto this land.
In Sotenak, a man or woman is entrusted with their Pokémon from birth. A person's Pokémon depends on their family, their location. Their past. When given their partner, they grow together. They coincide with sword and attack. When perfected, they are unstoppable.
In Sotenak, there is a struggle. Power is a cherished thing, a sought thing, a wonderful thing. The country has been stirring as of late. Paranoia is high in the kingdom, and perhaps it is not unruly. This is for you to find out, however, or choose to ignore. Or maybe it is for you to control. Power is a wonderful thing.I will be providing updates to the roleplaying board, as well as the template once I feel the updates have satisfied what I wish of the board. Check in for updates. |

| ALLEGIANCES:Rules:1.) The leader of a house should be middle aged, or around that. 2.) Families are related, meaning any romanticism is incest. Not to say that it doesn't happen, but ew gross. 3.) You may have three characters. 4.) You may not have a legendary. 5.) You may only have one Pokémon partner. MAJOR FAMILIES:House of OlanderSigil: Beartic Residence: Helmswolf, The Graylands Preferred Types: , Description: The family of the north, the brave men and women of the tundra. They live and rule over the city Helmswolf, the second least populous city in Sotenak and not the most interesting. The people here are stern and have lived in peace for many moons, but are in constant training and preparation for when violence comes. Members:Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons:Daughters:House of BrantSigil: Pyroar Residence: Lakeforge, West Fields ; Vulka, Ashwind Preferred Types: , Description: It has been 24 years since there was not a Brant on the throne. The ruling family of the country, they are known for their brash and snark. Originally hailing out of the city of Vulka and its springs, half the family split to live in the capital of Sotenak, Lakeforge. Being split up means nothing, however, for their family is large, and strong. Members:Head: *RESERVED BY JAY* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
House of Levitt
Sigil: Eevee Residence: Brightenag, Goldscliff ; Ludenaut, East Fields Preferred Types: N/A Description: Possibly the oldest and most traditional of the families. The first to cross the trecherous waters of Storms Passing on the backs of Vaporeon, they rule their land on two cities: Brightenag and Ludenaut. The Levitts rule their city folk on the philosophy of change, and that one may change differently than another peer. This is represented through Eevees, which all Levitts possess. Levitts are more philosophical than militaristic, but their assortment of different evolutions of Eevee make them a tough opponent. Levitt Eevees grow to be skilled hunters, both of game and men. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
House of Vogel
Sigil: Skarmory Residence: Ironport, Hawk's Land Preferred Types: , Description: The feared sky people, they lead the mountain-adjacent city of Ironport. Skilled at riding bird Pokémon, their people are often messengers, and the most skilled of battlers. They fly through the plateaus and cliffs of their land, training vigorously with their bird Pokémon from birth. They are intelligent but rather distant from the other houses, being the only ones able to cross the dangerous Skarmory Roost. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
House of Farlow
Sigil: Aegislash Residence: Swordfall, Daggeredge Preferred Type(s): , Description: The steel family, the champions in armor. The Farlows are perhaps the most skilled fighters, possessing the most dexterous blacksmiths and the most courageous fighters. War is their largest concern, and they train their young men to fight at a youthful age. Girls learn self defense tactics to keep from rape, making the Farlows the most pureblood of the families. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
House of Voss
Sigil: Weavile Residence: None, nomadic Preferred Types: , Description: The Voss are a hated family of nomads, travelers that make a living praying off villagers. They are very skilled hunters and thieves, almost as fast as the Pokémon they train with. They focus on learning from their partners, who usually are very adaptable to stealth. The Voss are rarely sociable with the other families, unless they cross paths under the cover of night. In this instance, the Voss will always have the advantage. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
MINOR FAMILIES AND ALLEGIANCES
Icewatchers Residence: Whitehare, Polar Shield Preferred Type: Description: The Icewatchers are a rarely witnessed group of people, located in the least populous city in the country: Whitehare. People with incredible endurance to cold, they are known for their pale skin and peculiar pointed ears. They are rumored to have evolved more from Snowrunt than human ancestors, and are the protectors of Articuno's Peak. They kill whomever goes near the peak, wishing to protect the legendary's peace.
House of Anguis Residence: Skawing, Mountainpass Preferred Type: Description: On the outskirts of Skawing, in the bases of the tallest mountains, lives a small family by the name of Anguis. Also known as the Dragonguard, they are the only known family of dragon tamers, a powerful group of people whose only downfall is their size. They stay in these mountains for most of their life, and seeing their residence is breathtaking, as there are dragons everywhere. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
Houndwhisperers Residence: Island of Hounds, Ashwind Preferred Type: Description: Residence of the hottest place in the country, the Houndwhisperers are a small group of people who traverse the island of hounds. They are known for their gruesome packs of Houndoom, as well as being the protectors of Moltres. They are a tad primitive, but make up for it with the dogs under their command.
House of Sabas Residence: Burton, Goldscliff Preffered Type: Description: Living alone in the small town of Burton, they reside on the plateaulands outside of Zapdos' domain. Guarding the bird as its protectors, they train electric types and command a barrier of electric energy near the front of the plateau. The barrier is charged daily and kept between two magnetic boulders, and will fry anyone who steps across. The Sabas are not known for their movement from Burton, nor are they known for involving themselves with others, being incestual. Members: Head: *leader position. open. males only.* Lady: *wife of leader. open.* Sons: Daughters:
Other Residence: All Areas and Cities Preferred Type: All Description: The most normal people, civilians and plebeians make up ninety percent of the country's population, filling cities and acting as the king's people. You'll find them as merchants, journeysmen, and whores. Sure, they seem unappealing, but they are the majority, and thus it would be sensible to have a few characters here.

| AREAS
Cities and Towns
Lakeforge Location: The intersection of East and West Fields Prominent Family: House of Brant Description: The capital of Sotenak, Lakeforge is the largest city in the country and is renowned for its nighttime scenery. Settled on the edge of Lake Arceus, the reflecting stars create a fantastic spectacle on the clear waters, added to by the fluttering Illumise and Volbeat that reside on the lake. The city of Lakeforge contains the royal castle, and is heavily defended by hundreds of skilled men.
Helmswolf Location: The Graylands Prominent Family: House Olander Description: Located on the tundra hills of the Graylands, Helmswolf experiences cool, coat-worthy summers and harsh winters. Though the city itself is unimpressive, the wildlife is spectacular. Ice type Pokémon among others often graze on the permafrosted fields. Mountains are seen in the city's distance.
Vulka Location: Ashwind Prominent Family: House Brant Description: Often known as the Origin City of Brant, the city is ruled by a smaller portion of Brants that have not taken leave to Lakeforge. The city is very archaic, many of its houses appearing traditionally wooden. The city also contains a spa, half of which doubles as an outdoor brothel.
Brightenag Location: Goldscliff Prominent Family: House Levitt Description: The original city of House Levitt and the second largest city in the country. A populous built on tradition and intellect, it contains many schools and academies as well as temples and places of worship. The city is known for its annual Festival of Light, a ceremony honoring the founders of Brightenag. During this ceremony, the city will illuminate itself at night using lamps and different festive lights, releasing them into the sky with the stars. It is often considered a must-see for Sotenakians.
Ludenaut Location: East Fields Prominent Family: House Levitt Description: Ludenaut is a port city to the northeast of Storm's Passing, started by the Levitts who conquered the strait with their Vaporeons. The city is very similar to Brightenag, though more heavily focused on trade. It is often referred to as East Port, and merchants crowd its streets.
Swordfall Location: Daggeredge Prominent Family: House Farlow Description: The military capital of the world. Consisting of dozens of skilled blacksmiths and hundreds of training stations, Swordfall is aptly named. Its people are strong, their hearts stronger. In the center of the city is an arena, unlike the Colosseum.
Ironport Location: Hawk's Land Prominent Family: House Vogel Description: A port off the shores of Hawk's Land, the scenery of this city is purely mountainous. They tower over the residence, surrounding it on all sides save for the one facing the shore. Ironport is the western equivalent to Ludenaut. Temples and training areas sit on the cliffs of mountains, and birdtamers often fly around the peaks overlooking the city.
Skawing Location: Mountainpass Prominent Family: House Anguis Description: This is more of a town than a city, tucked in between two mountains. Here resides the largest habitat for dragons, and the beasts are often seen flying around the town. Few people are able to make it here, given its seclusion.
Whitehare Location: Polar Shield Prominent Family: None; Icewatchers Description: One of the oldest yet smallest cities in Sotenak. Legends reside around it and its residents being the shield that guards the rest of the country from the freezing north. Not much goes on in this arctic, save for the location of Articuno, less than a days walk from Whitehare. The Icewatchers protect Articuno with their lives, and will kill strangers who dare venture towards it.[/b][/b]

His hair remains rather long, as if he hadn't gotten it cut in quite awhile. He has a rather lithe frame, more suited for swift theft then straight-up combat. A scar runs down his left leg, a souvenir from when he was a younger man. Allegiance: House of Voss Title: Head of House Residence: Nomadic Parents: Fulmer Voss and Clarabelle Voss Spouse or Lover: Ladies? ;D Weapon: Dagger Pokémon Name: Acheron Pokémon Species: Gengar Pokémon Gender: Male Pokémon Moves: Dream Eater, Hypnosis, Shadow Ball, Dark Pulse History:From a young age, Jackson learned not to get to attached to things. Within a clan of nomads, that was most wise. For him, battle became an element of surprise, slinking among the shadows to incapacitate and eliminate his enemies. With a certain affinity for those beyond the mortal realm, he bonded with the ghost Pokemon Gastly and began to learn from its shadowy and hypnotic ways. |

| Eliza (Unseeable in picture is her scars across her stomach, chest, arms, and legs.) Full Name: Eliza Voss Gender: Female Age: 37 Height: 1.701 meters Weight: 56.699 Allegiance: Voss Title: Lady of House Residence: Nomadic Parents: Previous House Leader Spouse or Lover: Jackson Weapon: Dagger Pokémon Name: Dark Claws Pokémon Species: Zoroark (Looked it up, not considered legendary) Pokémon Gender: Female Pokémon Moves: Night Slash, Agility, Pursuit, Foul Play History: Eliza was given Zorua as her parter at birth. She didn't nickname her until she evolved. The first thing to change on her was her claws, so she named her Dark Claws. Eliza only grew attached to her Pokemon, nothing else. She has Dark Claws help her learn how to be sneakier, faster, a better fighter. She even began battling with Dark Claws to sharpen each other's skills. She got most of her scars from these mock fights. But Dark Claws has a scar over her eye because Eliza also used fake claws in these battles. Eliza soon was able to be a perfect opponent for her Pokemon, giving as many blows as received. Pokemon and human grew closer with each battle, and they still do this today. |
