Thunderstep yawned as she woke. The she-cat stretched and stood up, walking out of the Warrior's den. The sunlight shined in her eyes, making her blink them furiously before turning her head. The she-cat sighed before finally padding over to the apprentice den.

Sticking her head in, she spoke. "Coalpaw, it's time to learn how to battle. Meet me at the entrance."

Yawning, Coalpaw heaved herself out of her nest and padded to the entrance. "Hi, Thunderstep," Coalpaw meowed tiredly.
