| A calico she cat, fur lightened by the early morning sun, crept into the apprentices den where she once sleept, and nudged her apprentice. "Morning Splashpaw, battle training today." Breezefeather whispered before tickling her nose with her long and furry tail and silently padded out.
Breezefeather was waiting for the small apprentice by the fresh-kill pile where a half-eaten squirrel was at her feet. A few warriors were rising for the dawn patrol as the slim she-cat groomed her long fur. |

| ((Taste of her own medicine))
Splashpaw yawned and padded out of the den and up to Breezefeather, sleep still hanging on to her. "Okay. Are we going right now?" |

| "In a minute, have some squirrel first." Breezefeather replied, flattening the last tuft of fur. ______________________________________ Ozymandias I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. Near them, on the sand, Half sunk a shattered visage lies, whose frown, And wrinkled lip, and sneer of cold command, Tell that its sculptor well those passions read Which yet survive, stamped on these lifeless things, The hand that mocked them, and the heart that fed; And on the pedestal, these words appear: My name is Ozymandias, King of Kings; Look on my Works, ye Mighty, and despair! | Ooc: gonna be afk for a week starting at 8:00 tonight EST.
Splashpaw nodded sleepily and ate what was left of the squirrel. "Can we leave now?" she asked, much more awake than before. |

| Ooc: on phone so no colours, and ok.
Breezefeather nodded and stood up with a stretch. "Right, let's go." She began padding towards the entrance then when she was in the open forest she broke into a run, heading towards a large mossy area. ______________________________________ Ozymandias I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. | When Breezefeather began sprinting through he underbrush, Splashpaw had to run as fast as her little legs could carry her. Upon arrival, she caught her breath and looked at her mentor, wondering what she was learning today. |

| As Splashpaw emerged into the clearing Breezefeather stood up. "Right, today we will be doing battle training. I will be doing a lot of talking, but it is just the basics. First thing you need to know, is to have all your senses on alert. There could be Shadowclan warriors in disguise lurking in these woods. So, like in hunting, you must take a sniff of the air every so often. Also, any noise could mean anything. It may be a mouse scurrying away, and that may mean someone or something chased it. Got that?" Breezefeather paused to let Splashpaw take it all in, and then she pointed her tail at the bushes. "Next thing is,-this is very important for raids- if you see a shift of movement in the undergrowth that may look like fur, don't rush towards it. Scent the air for anything unusual and then think- How can I approach it? How will I attack? How will I keep it a surprise? Well, if there is trees near by, then the best thing to do is to climb on furthur away, then leap from tree to tree, so they think it is a squirrel. Ok, now I will go over to that bush there and I want you to hunt me as if I am prey. Use any tactic you can think of and I want you to surprise attack me. You may want to use some hunting tactics aswell." And with that she padded over to a fern bush with leaves hanging of the green extensions, which disguised her fur. She then rolled on the ground to disguise her scent and silently crept over to a nearby tree trunk, still out of sight.
OOC: Sorry about all the talking, and the delay. :3 ______________________________________ Ozymandias I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. | OOC: You're fine :) Glad to know you're back. Been having a sort of RP block with Emberpaw, so I reply crazy fast to this. I like talking. I'm good at it.
Splashpaw, absorbing all the information, nodded and watched as Breezefeather hid in the bushes, or wherever she went. Deciding to try and see Breezefeather from above, she scampered off to a nearby tree and leapt up as her mentor had shown her. Looking around, she caught a glimpse of calico fur, but pretended not to notice, and continued "looking." Internally smiling, she leapt to the tree Breezefeather was close to, and immediately jumped down a bit clumsily onto her mentor's back, claws sheathed. "I got you!" she yowled triumphantly, "I think." |

| Breezefeather heard rustling in the trees, but didn't look up as she did not want to dampen her apprentice's spirit. Splashpaw landed on her back clumsily and the calico she cat shook her off. "Well done, try and be a little quieterbut good. May need to work on your landing but we can save that for later. Right, now that we have done your approach, we need to work on your attack once you have landed." Breezefeather leaped up to the branch Splashpaw jumped from and looked down at her apprentice. "Right, stay there and I will jump down. I want you to watch closely as is I land and pin you-don't worry, I won't hurt you." And with that she leaped down, gliding throug the air as the back of her apprentice got ever nearer. She twisted her body so her paws landed by Splashpaw's shoulders and haunches. Breezefeather then gently pushed her to one side and placed her front paws on her shoulder and foreleg. "Right, to get out of this you have to use your hindlegs. Try pushing my underbelly."

| Ooc: iPad... You get the point.
Splash paw did as commanded, mustering all of her strength. She shoved Breezefeather off of her, much rougher than intended. "Are you okay?" Splashpaw immediately stood up, a naughty sort of plan forming in her head. "I'm so sorry!" Finishing her sentence, she leapt onto her mentor and pinned her quite a bit better than last time, being sure not to get distracted. "I got you, for real this time!" |

| A sudden thump and Breezefeather was on the ground, then a heart beat later Splashpaw was on top of her. A pang went through her backleg, the one which got caught in the trap when she was an apprentice. She gritted her teeth to not show any pain or de-moralise her apprentice. "Ah you got me. In a battle, you wouldn't immediately pin your opponent down. You would probsbly get in a couple of swipes and scretches to the head to daze it, then go for the pin." Breezefeather instructed. "Move your paw over my left shoulder but keep the other on my forepaws, now move your left back leg pnto my haunches." ______________________________________ Ozymandias I met a traveller from an antique land, Who said—“Two vast and trunkless legs of stone Stand in the desert. | Ooc: Ooh meh goodness I'm so sorry! Must. Post. Now! (totally kept seeing this on meh tablet, saying that I'll post on the computer, and forgetting as soon as I'm on the computer)
Splashpaw noticed when Breezefeather seemed to wince a bit, but decided to ignore it and ask her later. She did as instructed, hoping she hadn't somehow made her mentor mad. "Am I doing everything wrong? I don't feel very good at this..." she smiled nervously towards Breezefeather, making sure that her paws were in the right places. |
