Uh... yes we are. We're allowed to not like it and not particularly care for its fans either. Is it rude to make fun of people who are completely insanely obsessed with it? Probably. But we're allowed to do it. So you dislike people just because they like Homestuck? That's pretty cold, Moon. True, you're plenty allowed to dislike people. But you can't claim that all of us are obsessed, insane fools.
Because not all of us are.
I mean, take you and me-- we're friends for the most part, and you've never had a problem with me liking Homestuck. I'm not a completely insane fantard. ^^^ Exactly It just annoys me that some people are like "If you like Homestuck, then you're stupid and have no life". Because then who's to say that someone could like Minecraft and be the same way? Just an example; nothing against Minecraft fans(I like it too), but really, you shouldn't hate people just because they like something that you [strongly] dislike. Like, Sarrow said, not everyone is insane and crazes over it in every single conversation and walks around trying to be their favorite character for their whole life or constantly on some fan site making random fanfics and art about it and nothing else. I think something like that is what I would call 'insane' fans, and really there's not a lot of people like that. ______________________________________ |

But I won't say too much, I'm terrible with words. I think now I'll just refer you to probably the greatest tumblr post I've ever seen. I read that post. Someone said we're "not allowed" to make fun of people who like it? Homestuck makes me e_e
Homestuck fans make me e________e
I'm just e___e Moon, there are hooks under your eyes. You should see a doctor about those. ______________________________________ i used to administrate but the man tore me down

| As I said earlier, it's not fair to generalize. I'm sure there are plenty of sane Homestuck fans, but a loud (and disgustingly large) minority of Homestuck fans are rabid and obnoxious. People can try to deny it, that they're just like any other fans, but then you wouldn't have stuff like this if they were just like any other fanbase. Homestuck is a "love it" or "hate it" sort of thing partially because of the fans, because if you don't like it and express so openly, chances are you'll get ripped into by a horde of insecure teenage girls who can't handle somebody disliking their favorite webcomic. This is especially true when you consider tumblr, which is chock full of Homestuck fans, and the fact that (as one of my favorite YouTubers pointed out) tumblr is a homogenized place where people with differing opinions from the majority tend to get shamed and jumped on.So yes, I think people have a right to dislike Homestuck fans, because: a). it's a justified hate if you have ever been confronted with rabid and overly-zealous fans. b). people can dislike whoever they want. c). it's not necessarily because they like Homestuck; it's because they're annoying. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |

| Okay guys. Here is the low down. We can't force our opinions on anyone. No matter how hard you try. You like Homestuck. Great. I don't care. I don't like Homestuck. Great. You shouldn't care. Someone likes rap. I don't care, have fun with that. You like to watch Frozen, awesome, I liked the movie as well, but I am not into it as much as most of the fandom. Super fab. We all have our opinions. That's great. Don't force them on each other. Besides. At the end of the day, we need to remember who the real enemies are.
