Scorchkit yawned as he sat outside the nersury, waiting for the rest of the clan to wake up. He felt like going back in the nersury and jumping on the sleeping cats. Scorchkit was so bored that he went to the fresh kill pile and started counting prey.

Cormorantkit stepped outside the nursery. She normally didn't wake up this early, but there's always a first for everything. She was just about to go back in when she saw Scorchkit by the food pile. The whole way she tripped over herself. "Good morning..." She mewed sleepily.

"I always sleep well." She replied. "You're... You're not planning on doing anything to our food, are you?" Cormorantkit added. She still wasn't that trusting of Scorch.

"No....why, don't you trust me?" Scorchkit asked even though it was a dumb question. No one trusted him, not even his mother and that was why she abandoned him. "Amyway, just counting it. Bored."

Figuring he already knew the answer, she ignored it. "If you're bored, why not ask someone to play with you?I'm sure Soulkit or Silverkit wouldn't mind at all! I'd play too." She added.

She thought about that for a moment, then joined Scorchkit. "Alright. I'll "fight" with you."

Scchkit looked up and smiled a bit. "Have some mouse first, can't play fight on an emoty stomach." The dark grey tom sat back and left half of the mouse to Cormorantkit.
