| Hello, my good friends. It is I, Jay, giving you a list that I have wanted to do for a while. I have had a weird fetish for creating Cracked.com-esque lists, where I give you my opinion on things and you all complain about how terrible said opinions are. Anyway, today's list is going to be my TOP FIVE VIDEO GAMES THAT I HAVE PLAYED AND LIKED A LOT AND THEY MADE MY PEEPEE HARD SOMETIMES BUT ONLY SOMETIMES BECAUSE THAT WOULD BE WEIRD AND ALSO MY OPINIONS MAY CHANGE IN THE FUTURE SO THIS PROBABLY WILL NOT STAND IN THE COMING YEARS FOR EXAMPLE BIOSHOCK INFINITE IS COMING OUT SOON AND THAT LOOKS PRETTY HOT!Erm....sorry. Anyhow, I will go over the rules before I begin. Number one, I must have had played it. This doesn't mean that I had to have finished it, but I can't say I watched the whole thing in a Let's Play. I have to have felt the controls and how the game was and rjeing irjng. Also, I won't put visual novels like Katawa Shoujo. That is not really a game, and therefore doesn't classify for this list. Finally, only one game per series. I don't usually obsess over multiple-gamed series...es....so this should be easy. So, let us begin! 8D NUMBER FIVE- Spoiler:
SUPER SMASH BROTHERS BRAWLI must admit that at the time I started playing Brawl here, I wasn't much of a gamer. Sure, I knew a few things, but I didn't follow news or watch people play them at this time. The only reason I started playing this game was because my friend Scott got it, and I ended up playing with him. I tell you, this game has the most beautiful memories behind it. Before I became a hermit and grew into the age where every one of my peers smoked pot and listened to crude music, I had played this game, and I f*cking got good at this sh*t. So an elf, a plumber, the plumbers fatter cousin, and a piece of animated bubblegum walk into a bar...I honed my skills and got pretty haughty at the subject of playing this game. When I got it on the next Christmas, I breezed through the Subspace Emissary until I got to the part where you repeat everything you play in a maze. I ragequited the storyline then, and this is one of the reasons Brawl is not up there on the list. Another reason is that random button pressing is beneficial. I was once beaten by a young kid who was mashing his controller like it was a spider he mustered the courage up to squash. It was humiliating. The final reason this game is number five is simply that I haven't played it in a while. However, I discovered it in a deep dark cavern within my house and can play it any time I want. ... ... If only I wasn't so lazy. NUMBER FOUR- Spoiler:
FRAGILE DREAMS: FAREWELL RUINS OF THE MOONI know what you are thinking, my dear readers. What the hell is this anime game no one knows about? Why is that dude walking into water? WHY IS HIS FLASHLIGHT SQUARE!? Well, let me explain. I have always been a sucker for games with wonderful story, which I can have feels over long after I am done playing it. This is one of those games. Also, it is an anime style game that is not a turn based RP! Yes, it is a level based survival horror-esque game! Yes, this game is creepy at times, but it is also freaking gorgeous! THAT SKY IS SEX!Basically, it is a game where you play as a fifteen year old boy in a post apocalyptic world. The old man you lived with passed away, but left you with a letter saying there might be some survivors in a tower far off into the distance. You set off on a journey through a dark and lonely world, meeting and saying farewell to a view great friends. Eeek! Half naked girl! This game has it's flaws, however, and tends to have poorly explained parts where you don't know what to do. This usually yanks you out of the experience and makes you frustrated. I actually stopped playing this game a good 5 hours in and am now just watching Cry play it. Yes, if you want to see this game, search for Cry's Let's Play on Youtube. Oh yeah, and some of the lines are corny and awkward, and they make you want to facepalm. Other than that, I adore this game, and it is really cheap, so get it if you have a Wii. It is my favorite Wii game out there. NUMBER THREE- Spoiler:
COUNTER STRIKE: GLOBAL OFFENSIVEIn CS:GO, the objective is to strike counters, an-- ... ... Erm, just kidding. Counter Strike is a multiplayer shooting game where you can play many game modes with people across the world. It has 30 weapons, and while I feel a bit ashamed that a shooter is up here, I...you know what, f*ck it! I LOVE COUNTER STRIKE! ;A; It has such a Valve feel to it. There are no zooms so you need skill to play online, but do not worry, because you can train with bots and stuff. There are many beautiful maps, many different skins for said maps, and you can get hours of fun from this game. COME WITH ME IF YOU WANT TO LIVE!Overall, this is one of those stress free games that you just play when you don't want to solve over-the-top puzzles or don't want to cry over sexy skies. I love it in all it's counter striking goodness. 'tis only a flesh wound. 8D NUMBER TWO- Spoiler:
PORTAL 2This was a painful decision to make. I had to pick between Portal, the first installment, which is a tad short and underfunded but beautiful and amazing, or Portal 2, the predecessor with a long storyline, co-op storyline, and updated graphics and funding. And gee, sorry guys, but I had to pick the latter. Portal 2 is another game by Valve, and is a first person puzzle game. Armed with a portal gun, you solve tests using two different kinds of these portals to teleport throughout a field. There is also spring boards, cubes, speed gel, bouncy gel, gravity defying ray things, lasers, and OH MY GOD THIS GAME IS WONDERFUL! It is beautiful, has great voice acting, has a compelling, deep story, and it also is original as hell and plays wonderfully. I beat both games in this series, and as far as Valve games go, I like this one more than the ones I have played. Sssssssh! She's sleeping! D: NUMBER ONE- Spoiler:
MINECRAFTI am sorry, guys. I know you saw this coming when you read the title of the topic, but I couldn't help it! This game is so good! ;A; Minecraft is a sandbox game developed by indie Swedish gaming company Mojang, and in it, you build, explore, mine, gather resources, battle monsters, eat porkchops--*large inhale* It is so beautiful! ;A; It has a feeling of happiness to it, to it's adorable passive mobs to it's lovely wistful soundtrack. It gives you the feeling that there is this endless, magnificent world at your fingertips and you just can't traverse it all. There is endless possibilities in this gem of a game, and a bunch of creepy mobs that attack you at night. If you want, you can creative massive structures in creative or play a user-built map. Someone doesn't like staring contests...This game is also multiplayer compatible, so you can play with your friends. It just has a warm feeling to it that I and over 16 million people njoy. It is only 26 dollars, and I have gotten my money's worth ten times over. I beg of you. At least try the free demo.
Well, there is my list! If you want to see me do more, say "Copenhagen" in a Reply to this topic. Also, what are your favorite games and why? Leave a comment down below! :D Thank you for reading and I will see you on the box. ______________________________________ i used to administrate but the man tore me down

| Well by golly, I've actually played (and liked) three of those games (2, 3, and 5). As for #4, I totally remember hearing about that game a couple of times, and then it disappeared. I guess it got released, by golly. *thumbs up* Copenhagen, and all that good snuff. |

| I have never heard of most of those games. . . Minecraft and Portal. xD But this is cool!
My favorites, out of the games I've played and enjoyed... I'm not much of a gamer (except when it comes to Skyrim @_@) . . . mine isn't as great as yours' but don't judge me ;-;:
5) Dragon's Dogma -- a fun little fantasy that was worth an hour or two's enjoyment, but I still haven't finished it and probably never will. . it was quite bland when it came to lore/mythos and the premise was just blegh. The characters weren't interesting either.
4) Batman: Arkham City -- eeeeeeeeeeeeeek <3 A game that you can be Batsy and Kittycat? I love it! Hehe. A game that you can play even after beating it. :3
3) Fallout: New Vegas -- Another game I haven't finished, but I enjoyed what I have played immensely. What can I say, Bethesda is the best. :D I love the setting, the mechanics are meh, and the customization is great! :] I hope to finish it if I ever get the time.
2) TES IV: Oblivion Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah my one love The Elder Scrolls! :DDD While I started playing the games a little late (I started with Skyrim and I've played Oblivion and Daggerfall. Must get Morrowind, but no interest in Arena.), I still have an immense love for this game. <3 Not as great as . . .
1) SKYRIM The best game I've ever played omg. Literally the only video game I play. (when I have the time to play video games, that is! <3) I love my five characters and the story and the lore and the everything and I'm a total TES nerd and I don't even know how to describe how much I love this. Curved. Swords.
Other games I've played include: Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning, I used to play those wrestling games when I was younger, I played Marvel: Ultimate Alliance when I was about that age. . . I've played Assassin's Creed II but honestly never got into the series like my brother has (he has every one xD) Um. . Pokemon, if that counts. I'm more of a reader. ;-; ______________________________________ |

| You have a pretty good taste in games, Moon. cx I suggest Fallout 3, since a lot of people say it is better than New Vegas, though it is like saying platinum is better than gold. Also, there is this game published by Bethesda called Dishonored. It is not directly made by them, but it is a stealth game and pretty cool. <u> Easily would be number 6 or something if I had made a Top 10 list. ______________________________________ i used to administrate but the man tore me down

| You have a pretty decent taste in games, Jay, and I must say.. I didn't expect you to pick out Minecraft as your favourite game (mostly because all other guys at my school are obsessed with Black Ops and Halo). I agree with you on your choices, for the most part. cx
My Favourites (Note: Normally, the whole top five would be filled with Zelda, but I decided to be a little more diverse. ;u;):
5) Minecraft I, for one, honestly love sandbox games, because they often allow you a unique creative, yet adventurous element that many other games lack. I loved both Lego and computers as a kid, and for me, pretty much combining the two into such a blocky masterpiece is worthy of the hundreds of downloads it receives each day. My only issue with Minecraft is that it honestly lacks a developed plot .. That, and the fact that you have nukes in Tekkit. Who doesn't love virtual nukes at your command?
4) The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim I cannot even begin to muster up my love for this game. Evidently, by even a glance, you can tell that much hard work and minor details were put into Skyrim. I love pretty much everything about it, because it's just so well-thought out. The lore, the plot– heck, even the annoying kids in Whiterun were worthwhile and somehow essential to the essence of the game. I was very impressed while playing it at every little bit of extra attention was given to Skyrim, and how vigorous and life-like it felt as a game experience. I've never really been into TES only because my computer has issues with it, and my MacBook's software is currently too out-of-date to run a converted file of any of the games.
3) Super Smash Bros. Brawl .. I swear, I'm not even joking when I say this. When SSBB first came out in 2007 (?), I bought it soon after, and was instantly addicted to it. Never before have so many Nintendo characters of different franchises been in one game with such good-quality graphics. It practically made me sh*t golden bricks of happiness, and I still love it to this day. Only the new 3DS Super Smash Bros. may have the potential to beat it, but that's only a probability.
2) The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword Nintendo has truly created something worth mentioning here. Skyward Sword is brilliant and different in so many ways, and yet, still has that same, Hyrulian, magical element to it that I love. The cleverness of the puzzles and battle strategies is of high stature, and I can't help admiring it. Skyward Sword is dramatic, cinematic and amusing, and makes a very epic prequel to some of my other favourite games.
1) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time ..Because I don't give a damn what the critics say. D:< This game is none other than a work of art, a masterpiece, and a legendary video game. It is the most popular game to have ever come out for the Nintendo 64, and it is well-worth it's title as the crown jewel of the Legend of Zelda. As the first 3D game of the series, it's no wonder that it became so popular so fast, but still to this day, it's a renowned story that has me practically crying tears of nostalgia and joy when I play through to the end. THIS. IS. THE. SHET.
I just picked randomly, since these are the games I play the most, so.. Yeah. ______________________________________ i was fish the whole time, surprise

| I realize that Katawa Shoujo, Lullaby, and To The Moon aren't really games as much as they're stories through a semi-interactive medium, but still. I love them to death. The other two are extremely retro, but they're excellently designed. ;w;
5. Do You Remember My Lullaby by Freebird Games.
4. Katawa Shoujo by Four Leaf Studios.
3. Kirby's Dream Land 2 by HAL Laboratory.
2. Pokemon FireRed by Game Freak.
1. To The Moon by Freebird Games.______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |
