Sunnypaw takes a walk.

Sunnypaw padded out of her den and streched. The sun was just showing above the horizon. I'll have about an hour before dawn patrols. She thought, And I know just what I'll do. She used her powerful hind legs to bound up her old willow tree she played in as a kit. She climbed onto the higher branches and slid out of camp. She walked a bit and came to a large, sunny rock ledge facing the east. There she sat, watching the sunrise. She recalled when she had first found this ledge, thought about the past and what would happen in the future. She enjoyed the sun on her fur and layed down. She thought about Minkfur, Stormmwing, and Maykit. I wonder if they're enjoying the sunrise too. Eventually she began to doze off into a light, warm sleep.

ooc: Sorry I've been grounded and never saw this o.o

ic: Coldpaw had noticed Sunnypaw leave and silently slid out of camp. He followed her to the ledge. "Hey...what are you doing up so early?" He asked softly, coming over to sun himself beside her.

"Oh, hi Coldpaw." she mewed, "I'm just sitting and thinking."

ooc: It's ok.

Coldpaw tilted his head. "Thinking? What about?" Suddenly he stopped. "You don't have to tell me if you don't want to..." He added quickly.

"Oh, well, pretty much everything." she purred, "Like how when we were kits we did anything a kit can do, and never got tired."

"Well, look at us now. We're almost warriors!" He purred. "But there's always more kits to come...hey, maybe one day I'll be a father!" Coldpaw joked.

"Yeah." she answered, "But even if you're the best warrior you can be, you think you can handle kits?" she let out a mrow of laughter.

Coldpaw froze. "Well if they're my kits I imagine they'll become great warriors, so I could put up with them." He laughed.

Sunnypaw purred. "I think all kits are great warriors, according to them."

Coldpaw shrugged. "Yeah..." He agreed. He lay down next to Sunnypaw, their fur brushing. "It's going to be dawn soon...have you ever seen a sunrise? They're really pretty. I think one will be coming in a second." He murmured, watching the distant slow rise of the sun. Sunnypaw is the only one who would ever see this calm, sweet side to him.

"Wow.." Sunnypaw breathed as the sun began to come up, streaking the sky with pastel colors.

Coldpaw had to squint to keep himself from going blind but hey it was still pretty!

Coldpaw began to doze in the warm sunlight. "It's beautiful isn't it?" He purred softly. "Just like you."

Sunnypaw purred and rubbed her head against him.

Soon the sun began to rise up to where only half of it showed in the horizon. Coldpaw jolted awake. He nudged Sunnypaw gently with his nose. "It's dawn. We better head back." He mewed, slowly getting to his paws. He didn't want to leave though. It was such a happy moment as if nothing could go wrong. But if he wanted to be the best warrior in the forest then he had to go.

Sunnypaw sadly rose to her feet. "This was nice.." she mewed.
