Stormpaw's and Minkpaw's battle training

Raincloud padded into the forest, followed by Brambleclaw and the two apprentices so they could train.

ooc: Stormpaw and Minkpaw, if you have any questions now is the time to ask.

"Today we're going to practice battle training." he said to the two apprentices as they arrived at their destination.


ooc: Yeah what Raincloud said

Stormpaw sat down, listening intently. Who knows when a battle could randomly break out? She had to be ready. I promised Gracestep I'd protect her and Starlingkit. She thought.

"Front paw strike!" Raincloud ordered Stormpaw.

ooc: ok so basically what you do is say what attack you're doing and how much damage it deals and stamina it uses. then below that you keep track of your health and stamina. there's a topic in the rules that tells you how much damage and stamina each attack costs. here's an example:

Rainpaw swung her paw at her opponents head with a furious hiss.

Rainpaw used Front Paw Strike dealing 6 damage and using 10 stamina.

Rainpaw:
HP: 20/20
SP: 70/80

(usually your opponent will keep track of their own stamina and health)

Stormpaw lashed out a paw as instructed.

Stormpaw used Front Paw Strike using 10 stamina and dealing 6 damage.

Stormpaw:
HP: 20/20
SP: 70/80

occ: Since it's not a real battle and we aren't hurting each other, I didn't subtract HP. Is that the right thing to do?

ooc: ya thats fine for now, as long as you understand how to use the battle system

ic: "Belly rake!"

Stormpaw nodded and lunged, twisting downward and scraping sheathed paws against Raincloud's stomach, before leaping back up with a furious hiss behind her.

Stormpaw used Belly rake using 10 Stamina Points and dealing 7 Hit Points.

Stormpaw:
HP: 20/20
SP: 60/80

"Leap and hold!" she ordered.

ooc: this one is a little more complicated than the others. if you cant figure it out then say the word and i'll explain it (i am in a lazy mood)

ooc: I know this one isn't "always hits" like the others. NUUU I GONNA FAIL!

ic: Stormpaw huffed and tensed, leaping backward quickly. Just has her paws hit the ground she sprang, landing on Raincloud's back and hanging on...

ooc: Now I think I roll the effect dice to see how long it actually works...Correct me if I'm wrong.

Stormpaw used Leap-and-Hold using 10 Stamina Points and dealt 6 Hit Points for this turn.

Stormpaw:
HP: 20/20
SP: 50/80

occ: So it now works for 2 turns correct? What now?

ooc: thats exactly right. good job.

ic: Raincloud stumbled a bit under her apprentice's weight. Who knew Stormpaw had such a good grip.

ooc: ok how bout we just bypass the whole 2 turns thing and you jump off me. as long as you understand how works then we really dont need to go through that (that and i have to log off soon)

ooc: Okay. and dang it oh well we can role play tomorrow. (in my area tomorrow saturday. NO SCHOOL WOOT! *weekend dance*)

ic: Stormpaw lept off considering this was just training and she wasn't planning to kill Raincloud yet(lol just kidding) she was starting to get tired. Raincloud looked like she was done getting practiced on too.

ooc: LOL poor Raincloud is like a practice dummy D: I feel sad 4 youz. 'Course I'm not exactly hurting her at least, more like this:

Btw poor Brambleclaw too just sitting there doing nothing because Minkpaw is only on about once or twice a day every 2 days :P

Raincloud nodded at Stormpaw in approval. "Good job."
