| What is your opinion on StarClan? - My personal opinion:
So in the original 6 books StarClan was JUST a religion and nothing more. It was relatively ambigious and pretty vague, leaving the reader to decide what they thought about StarClan and all that. They weren't some kind of supernatural force. And they were powerless, it seemed. Sure, they could give vague prophecies and whatnot and move clouds, but that was about it. And what I liked about it is that they focused more on the parts that I personally liked, such as going out on patrols and exploring new places around the forest. StarClan was just kind of another thing that gave the Warriors universe more depth. This was just kind of a compliment.
My problem with this is that it just didn't continue like that.
By The New Prophecy, StarClan's existence became fairly obvious, along with everything that made it mysterious. They were still powerless, as mentioned every single time they mentioned them, but now were just... Kinda stupid. They were all knowing, but had to make a long journey across the skies. And when they met the Tribe, they kind of went Crusader and were all like "OMG DEY R EVUL" which would have been fine except... Well, StarClan exists.
And by the Power of Three and beyond... StarClan influences EVERYTHING (Despite their whole shenanigans about not helping and only giving vague riddles), can make SUPERPOWERED CATS (Despite being kinda powerless themselves), and are generally just being kind of a bunch of d*cks.
This just goes to show that StarClan can help and does take sides, but during all of The New Prophecy and the First Arc, just chose not to despite it being vitally important. This ruins everything I learned about StarClan throughout the first books, which were to teach me of everything about Clan life that the Erins wanted us to know. Had they made it clear that StarClan was a regularly intervening omnipresent force that can influence everything in the Clans, I might have swallowed it a bit easier.
And the co-existing crap. I just... Didn't really like it, especially since StarClan's behavior in the New Prophecy. I found that Feathertail being in both StarClan and The Tribe of Endless blahblahblah was really retarded. It kind of removed any sorrow and pity I had for Crowfeather, seeing that he's going to see her when he too dies. And Scourge not going anywhere because he was a kitty atheist. Literally any antagonist can avoid eternal loneliness by NOT believing that the Dark Forest exists.
Also, the thing about StarClan cats disappearing after being forgotten and Dark Forest cats being able to interact with each other defeats THE WHOLE ENTIRE PURPOSE OF THEIR AFTERLIFE! StarClan cats are supposed to be in paradise while the Place of No Stars are supposed to be alone and bored. Forever. In a dark, inescapable maze of trees and thorns. It's just really stupid that there's some kind of magical plot hole that everyone in the DF jumped through to all meet up for an evil reunion to bring down the kawaii desu gud gais.
Just remember that everyone in ancient SkyClan have disappeared from existance forever. And almost everyone in ancient times. And all of those lovable characters from the first arc before everyone was a cardboard Mary Sue? Yeah, once they're all inevitably dead they'll be gone.

| I do agree, StarClan was better in the first books, but I do have to comment on the "can make SUPERPOWERED CATS" thing, they didn't do that. They had no idea where the prophecy was even from. They didn't make the three have their powers, and for StarClan's sake, they don't even know where they did get their powers from. StarClan is scared of the three I bet, and they would panic if one of them joined the Dark Forest.
Also...about the three thing...Lion can't be hurt, and he has never bleed? Well...in one of the books he a scratch from Tigerstar, which made him bleed. Where were your superpowers then, Lion? ______________________________________ Acornstar ♀ ~ Badgermask ♀ ~ Creamsky ♂ ~ Duckfeather ⚧ ~ Eveningmoon ♀ ~ Flurryshade ♂ (Not pictured) TC T5 Leader (70/200) ~ SC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ SkC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ RC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ WC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ TC T1 Warrior (30/80)Rosybrown (Forest)/ Sandybrown (Feral) ~ Indigo ~ Tan ~ Olive ~ Icyblue ~ Slategray |

| Truthfully, Starclan needs to tone down Lion's power. He idn't get hurt by going through a thorn bush. Was that a battle?
And Starclan? All of what Sleepy said. ______________________________________ |

| Badger. They had to be granted their supr pwrs by someone, and Starclan tothe Erins are the only ones who could really do that. And you can't argue with "bets". I agree with Sleepy. The 5th series better not have something stupid like Jayfeather derping back in time with a stick or something, or I am burning my books on a stake. ______________________________________ i used to administrate but the man tore me down

| I guess that I never really thought much about how Starclan was but now what Sleepy says.......I in my opinion, think Sleepy's right. |

| What I am saying is that StarClan isn't even the one that got the prophecy, so it is likely that who ever first got the prophecy (like The Tribe of Endless Hunting, even thought I still have no idea who first got it, as it was Skywatcher who first said anything about it) was the one that gave them the powers. ______________________________________ Acornstar ♀ ~ Badgermask ♀ ~ Creamsky ♂ ~ Duckfeather ⚧ ~ Eveningmoon ♀ ~ Flurryshade ♂ (Not pictured) TC T5 Leader (70/200) ~ SC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ SkC T5 Warrior (70/200) ~ RC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ WC T2 Warrior (40/110) ~ TC T1 Warrior (30/80)Rosybrown (Forest)/ Sandybrown (Feral) ~ Indigo ~ Tan ~ Olive ~ Icyblue ~ Slategray |

| But the Tribe of Endless Hunting doesn't even share the same sky with StarClan and can't see (or care) about what the Lake's buisness is. And if not StarClan, then who else? And even if they DIDN'T make the Three, they still can send lightning bolts down to hit trees and fall on ttly ebul WindClan deputies. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |

| I'm against everyone here.
I even asked my Mom at a Mud Hens Game if my spirit would go to StarClan when I die. She got maaaad.
Anyways, I have nothing against StarClan. I always find it truly exhilarating when the Prologue is StarClan, not the Clans. Every book is a new world, and StarClan makes it all the more better for me to sit down and actually read for three hours before going to bed. ______________________________________ Art credit to Grey. |

| A new world? They're reusing plot ideas. And this happens a lot: StarClan is literally the only thing driving the series, and they influence everything. They seem powerless at times, but then they are really not. This forces me to believe that either: a). StarClan just doesn't care about what happens. b). StarClan is really bad at their job of keeping the forest safe. c). The Erins have run out of ideas and therefore will make up stuff and break the rules of the universe they created for the lulz. The thing they established by the six first books and The New Prophecy (Or at least the bit about them adventuring to a damn ocean) was that STARCLAN WAS POWERLESS AND COULDN'T INTERVENE IF THEY WANTED TO. But they do that, but then randomly they'll do some God-like thing like they are a supernatural force. It's really stupid. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |

| Well, it's not like they can get a coffee mug, climb a ladder from the heavens down to Earth, smack the people, make them stop, then go back up. They can't fly down and smack everything or everyone that goes wrong. They do what they can, they can't stretch past their limits. Everybody as limits, Sleeps, even StarClan. ______________________________________ Art credit to Grey. |

| Yes, and limits were what made StarClan great. It left no plot holes in their wake. I never said that I didn't like that they were powerless and couldn't intervene.
But they can send lightning bolts down from the sky, catch shet on fire, and annoint earthly cats with godlike powers.
And they have influenced EVERYTHING that happens in the forest. ______________________________________ ‹‹ former site administrator ›› pm me |
