Sharkpaw's First Hunting Patrol

Graystream entered WindClan's camp like he'd done several times before in this past moon. On this specific occasion he was in search of WindClan's newest Apprentice Sharkpaw.

Sharkpaw ran over to Graystream. "hi!" he meowed happily

"Hey Sharkpaw." He meowed back gingerly, "Ready to start your training today?" He asked slowly, he was dead set on doing the best he could to teach the three new WindClan Apprentices the ways of the Warrior.

"yes!", Sharkpaw meowed. He walked happily towards Graystream

"Then let's head out." The two cats left WindClan's camp and walked through the open lands for a while, "So, Sharkpaw." He said as they continued walking, "Have you ever hunted before?" He asked him simply, trying to figure out the situation.

'when I was a kit, I've hunted a squirrel in wind clan territory' Sharkpaw replied

"That's good." He meowed as he stopped moving and gazed at a lone rabbit, "Do you remember how?" He asked him calmly, gazing over at the rabbit.

Sharkpaw stared at the rabbit, then dashed after it. He caught it, then smashed it head-first on a rock to kill it.

"Nice catch." He meowed to Sharkpaw approvingly, "When'd you learn to hunt like that?" He asked, indicating how he was able to slam it into the rock without losing the rabbit.

Sharkpaw walked towards Graystream," I learnt some of it from Graypaw" he meowed in a nervous voice

"Good. Graypaw's a great hunter at such a young age. I'm glad the two of you are practicing with each other." He meowed approvingly as he scanned the area, his ear flicked curiously. "Can you scent anymore prey?" He asked simply, he was looking to see how acute his sense of smell was.

Sharkpaw sniffed. There seemed to be another rabbit, and a few mice, and also a...dog? 'Graystream, there's a dog nearby.'

Graystreams tail twitched quickly at the Apprentices statement. He scented the air carefully, thought about it, and came to a conclusion, "It shouldn't be a problem, the scent is coming up wind from the two-leg place. One of them must just be walking their dog nearby the forest. If it ever gets closer just tell me, I don't want a dog to accidently come running into your Territory and causing problems for you guys," his voice was smooth but had a ridgid end to it. He looked back over at Sharkpaw, "Nice job thought, alot of people probably would have missed that scent intirely," he gazed back over to the two-leg place just to make sure, it seemed alright.

Sharkpaw looked at the Twolegplace thoughtfully for another while, then sighed in relief. 'The dog's going away now; it wasn't that near anyway.' Sharkpaw replied. Then, he licked one paw and drew it over his ear.

"Tell me when you've had enough for the day," he meowed to him calmly, he looked over through the open moor land, "Although, we could always continue hunting, if you wanted to?" his voice remained calm as he continued his constant gaze.
