Ivypaw's Hunting Patrol!

DuskFur quietly padded into the apprentices den, "Ivypaw, hunting patrol, get up!" she nudged her daughter.

Ivypaw flickered her eyes open,stood up and arched her back in a good stretch. "Awesome! Lets go" she meowed happily and trotted out with her Mother and new Mentor.

DuskFur padded into the training hollow with her daughter close behind. She turned around and sat with her tail curled. "Now," she began, "Do you know how to do a hunter's crouch?"

Ivypaw crouched down remembering to put equal weight on all 4 paws just as she heard the apprentices say.

"Good!" DuskFur praised, "But always make sure your tail is straight and stiff. Otherwise if you do, your tail will hit the trees or bush and scare them away." She said while swatting her daughter's tail with her paw.

"Oops" Ivypaw meowed a little embarassed as she stiffened her fluffy tail.

"Great job. Now, do you know how to stalk in that position?" she asked.

Ivypaw thought hard then drug herself forward leaving her tail and belly down but not touching the ground and slithered forward.

"Perfect! You're a natural! Now sit up and tell me if you can smell any prey- and if so, what type?" she began.

Ivypaw sat up and parted her jaws to drink in the air. "Mouse...."? She looked embarrased that she was unsure.

"Exactly! Someone's been paying attention to how her food smells instead of being a slob like your father!" She laughed. "Alright, now back to the serious things... Try to catch the mouse- the best you can."

OOC: Ok go to https://warriorclancats.forumotion.com/t3337-hunting-system and go down to new apprentice and look at mouse. Those are your chance after you roll the dice. To roll the dice click *Post Reply* instead of using the box and then type what you would like to do, then under the typing part there will be a "Dice's Roll" then click "Chance Dice" and don't mess with the number. OOC: Glad you figured that out, but also in the box on the page type: IvyPaw droped into her hunters crouch, being very still... and pounced! and then afterwards edit it to either say "But she missed" or "And it hooked in her claws"

IC: "Very close." She purred, "Perfect position. Just mice can be quick and like to go into holes. Thats why I like rabbits!" Duskfur laughed. "How about we go on a patrol?"

"Oh Yes please"! Ivypaw meowed excitedly and followed Duskfur out of the camp.
