| Maypaw sat in the entrance clearing of the Dark Forest. She had waited until the three cats she needed to contact were asleep, and the other DF cats were busy. She heard ruffling in the bushes from her right, and turned to the right. She sniffed the air, and smiled. "Badgerfang?" she meowed.

| Badgerfang leaped out of the bushes, pinning Maypaw down. Badgerfang quickly started to lick the top of Maypaw's head in joy, until she looked up and saw the Dark Forest. She quickly got off of Maypaw and looked at her with a sad look. "Maypaw...where...where did you go? | "I was taken by a SkyClan exile called Envyshadow. He trains apprentices here in the Dark Forest. And we're here because.. well, Envy brought out the small amount of darkness in me. I.. i really don't want to be here, either." she meowed and buried herself in Badgerfang's fur. She sat there for a while, and got up. She began to fade as Badgerfang woke up. "I'll be back..." she had said, fading into the distance.\
