Wildheart was lying in the middle of camp, bored, while he was cleaning himself.

Heathersong approached, yawning broadly. A restless Willowkit pounced behind her, jumping on the fallen leaves that had drifted over from the forest.
"Hello, Wildheart," she mewed, sitting beside the tom. "How are you?"

"Fine." He replied. "You?"

"I'm good," she answered. Behind her came a series of excited squeals; Heathersong was twitching her tail to Willowkit's delight, and the small she-kit was attacking it with zeal. "Willowkit has been a pawful to handle."

Wildheart laughed silently. "Oh great." he said, playfully. "I can't wait to have kits with butterflywing!"

"Prepare yourself," Heathersong told him, smiling knowingly. "I was excited, too, but as much as you love them, it's hard to feel it."

"I know. Kits will be kits and you have to know that to be a father and a mother." Wildheart said.

"Definitely," Heathersong replied. She pulled the end of her tail up closer to where their heads were, causing Willowkit to chase after it. The instant the she-kit saw the other cat, however, she shrunk back behind her mother.
"Willowkit, come say hello to Wildheart," Heathersong mewed sweetly.

OOC: she shrunk back because Wild is big, muscular, and AWESOME!
IC: Wildheart looked at the kit warmly. "Hello Willowkit." He said.

OoC: Mhmm, that's what it was :P


Willowkit crept out, still hidden slightly by her mother's bigger figure. She cast her green eyes downward and murmured, "H-hi."

"Sorry, she's a little shy," Heathersong apologized, twitching her tail and intriguing her daughter again.

"It's all right. I remember when Badgerfang was here as a kit. He was scared of me even though I was still an apprentice." he said with a faraway look.
OOC: Because I was awesome!

Heathersong chuckled.
"Kits are easily influenced," she said.

"I'm not so sure." He said. "I"m not really good with kits for some reason. They always seem scared of me."
