Hope was sleeping in the reeds near Purplepaw, she was scrawney and smelled like rotten fresh-kill, she was older then when she first met her aunt.

Purplepaw was beginning to walk back to camp when she heard a cat breath. She searched for the cat. Then she saw Hope, her niece. "Hope, what's wrong? Where's Nightecho? Why are you so scrawny" She asked nervously.
