Guardians of Ga'Hoole; Written by Kathryn Lasky.

It's a series following the perspective of a young Barn owl named Soren, who strives to become one of the members of the Great Ga'Hoole Tree, a massive tree on an island in the middle of a vast sea. On this tree lie the greatest and most valiant warriors in all of owl kind; who rise from their hollows into the sky each night to preform noble deeds, the benefit all the land. But a harrowing, unnamed force is rising.

I love those books, read em' all :D Deadly is correct, they are amazing, read them now.

I'm on the first book still. I loved the movie though! It's one of my favorites.

They did a wonderful job with the movie, I thought. It was very much right along with the books. ^^

I thought the movie took place in a seperate time...?

Lol, I'm going to read this series. I haven't gotten the chance to yet though.

The movie was completely wrong.. It was based loosely on the first three books, yes, but it did not go along with the series very well at all. On the other hand, the animation was amazing. ;3
