Bumblepaw's death

Bumblepaw padded out towards highpines, his kits close behind him. He hadn't seen Metalshard in a while, that was good. "Hurry up Snakekit",he barked to his least favorite of the kits.

Ebonyroot padded around her side of the land, herbs hanging from her mouth. She heard a shout echo across the clearing and caught sight of Bumblepaw, curious she did what her clan did best, hid in the shadows and watched on.

Bumblepaw waited for Envykit and Snakekit as he sat down. What he didn't know was that StarClan was taking his revenge. He heard rattling behind him. "What th-",he said, but as he turned around a brown snake bit his leg. He felt excruating pain and his blood pumped faster, causing venom to course through him.

Ebonyroot's eyes grew wide as she sprang out of the bushes, yowling to scare the snake away. "Are you alright?" she spun around to Bumblepaw, hardly aware of the two kits behind her.

Bumblepaw looked at her with glazed eyes,I-I'm fine",he meowed in a shaky voice. What he didn't know what that the venom was killing from the inside out.

Envykit walked in front of Ebonyroot to find his father in pain. "Father?!" he asked. He looked up at the cat "What did you do to him?!" he hissed at her.

"No- No you're not.." Ebonyroot muttered quickly, stumbling around as if she were looking for something, ignoring Envykit and walking past him. "The snake bit you.. you need to stay still..."

Envykit put a paw on Bumblepaw. "Your going to be ok, right?" he asked, trying to hid his worrie. "Fix him now!" he squeeked at Ebonyroot.

"No No I won't",he growled. Instanly he started twitching. Snakekit looked at his father in horror, what was gonna happen to him?

Snakefire was watching this with a grim look. It had to be done, that way his clanmates would be safe.

Dragonsoul sat by her brother. "This is only going to make it worse, Brother." she mewed saddly. "Envykit will grow into something worse than Bumblepaw now, because his father is dieing before his eyes." she shook her head. "It may have happened anyway."
"No.." he mewed in a soft voice and watched next to his brother. "Father..."

Envykit was damn lucky the medicine cat had a near endless patience with kits. Ebonyroot padded back, chewing Snakeroot as swiftly as it could. "The snake that bit you.." she thought, "I don't think this was an accident.."

Dragonsoul made a quick apprence in front of Ebonyroot, telling her, she was right, this was no acident. "Not acident, who did it?!" Envykit yolwed.

"Envykit will follow in his father's footsteps but it may be worse", the Tom meowed grimly.

Bumblepaw looked at Envykit,"rule this forest before it controls you".He then looked up at the sky and muttered "metalshard",before he coughed up some blood and fell to the ground.

She glanced up at the sky, reading the signs, the pattern on the snake. "This is StarClan's wish."
Ebonyroot looked at him in pity, tossing the herbs she had prepared away.

"I will, Father, I promise." he wispered, trying to be strong. But what did he mean by that, Metalshard, whats that mean?" he wondered. Envykit lowered his head. "Lets go back to camp, Snakekit, get some warriors to collect his body. Even though he was strong on the outside, he was wailing like a lost kit, oh wait. He was a lost kit.
