Hawkpath looked over the gorge, at the bottom where the sharp rocks were. They glistened in the sunlight. How pretty, but how dangerous. Many cats lives were taken here, which made her think of her kithood. Bluestar, alive, and a warrior, Mistyriver, her former mentor...

Hawkpath sat at the edge of the gorge, wondering, looking, thinking. She noticed she had changed, along with her friends, family, and clanmates. Sleepyyawn as deputy. She would have never guessed. Mudpuddle, in StarClan, though he and Pinestar raised Lionclaw so well. He's a great warrior... Talltail, her best ThunderClan friend. She turned out fine. And Jaystar and Swiftstar, though both in StarClan, made history, as great leaders, As did Bluestar...

And now here I am... Hawkpath thought. She was proud of who she was, what she had become. And its thanks to everyone who had made a big part of her life. She was now the medicine cat of RiverClan. She is a big part of her clan, and their a big part of her.
