Jayark vs. Stormark

PART 1:THE EMERALD UNIT

Chapter 1

The phone rang through the office. It was a rather irritating blaring sound, that was able to make the team cover their ears, especially in the morning. Sorren stumbled into the working quarters, and yawned, before picking up the grayish ringer. "'ello," he barked sleepily. His pool blue eyes and sandy blonde hair fit well with the uniform. He was the greatest shot in his Unit. On his shirt and cap, lay the light blue Jayark emblem, a symbol of their union. ",who is this?" he muttered. The others could be heard stirring in the Bunkers.
"Sorren Dane, leader of the Special Ops Jayark unit, am I correct?" boomed a deep voice on the other end. Sorren assumed the man was burly and dangerous, but didn't recognise the voice. "This is he," Sorren answered, seeming more awakened. ",Who am I speaking to?"
"Corporal Peters. I transferred here, and I will be your new contact. On the other hand, there is a raid on the shores of Okeanos. You guys have to get in there and save the city from becoming a hostage in Stormark's plans."
Okeanos was a city off the shores of Jayark's Odon Peninsula. It acted as a sort of barrier city, to keep Stormark offensive units from striking the city 50 or so miles behind it, off the peninsula. It was Kissa City, Jayark's capitol. It was also where Sorren stood right now, at it's army building. His unit was one of the highest ranked teams of all the combat units. He has even met Jay, leader of all of Jayark.
"On our way." Sorren answered the corporal, before hanging up. Before regretting that very decision, he called for the others. "Mattias! Polres! Aerol! Erika!" He recited the names of his team, as one by one they crowded the hall, curious as to what was up. After a brief explanation, they were off, putting on their green blue uniforms and helmets, equipped with visors. The visors held as much data as a super computer, in which was breakthrough technology. Testing their microphones and weapons, off they were,weapons and all.

This is a story of an ultimate civil war, a war between a once united nation made of two islands. At that time, the nation was named Ark, a revolutionary country that was at the top of the charts, compared to other countries. Though, public leaders fought after a Depression hit, and afterwards, to keep from the same thing happening again, and damaging the country, started a civil war. The war was between the two islands, now named Jayark and Stormark, both ruled by Jay III and Storm III, the great grandsons of the original founders of the nation. The war has been going on for 4 years.

Gunfire peppered the roads as the Jayark forces tried to hold back their enemies, in a desperate attempt to push them towards the sea. Shots were fired everywhere, and close combat resulted in brutal murder via plasma sword. The whole place was evacuated, for it is a drill the residents had been practicing all their lives. Despite the risks of attack, Okeanos had the second most amount of occupants, coming up around one hundred short of Kissa City itself. When the Emerald Unit arrived, the place was a large bloodbath. "Move out!" Sorren ordered, holding up an artificial bullet proof shield to keep the volley of sub-automatic machine gun fire off of any vital organs. So far, it was working. "Good luck!" Polres said to Sorren, and the team ran in a group, huddled in a group for defensive purposes. They were plowing down fleet after fleet, before appearing with the soldiers up in the front lines. Though, before they reached it, something pulled Sorren back. A Stormark soldier knocked him to the ground, and Sorren just regained his bipedal stature when their swords collided. It was a formidable fight, before Sorren smirked and found a weak point. Countering the soldier's blow with his shield, he went in and stabbed him in the lungs. The soldier, gasping for air, fell with a thud, leaving Sorren over the body. The Emerald leader had never wanted to be a murder, but things like that were daily occurrences. It was how someone got to his rank. That was Sorren Dane. And bloody battles like this were just an everyday occurrence.
