CHARACTERS
The characters are extremely well written, even the minor ones. Alot of death among them, no, scratch that. Alot of gruesome deaths. So, please don't attached, for a part of you will die. Trust me, its happened to me everytime >.>
PLOT
The plot is so intricate that I recommend that you read the first book first. Collins figured out a way to fit all of these twists into a book that anything could happen and in one way or another, it would make sense. And unlike most authors when that happens, it makes it better. The book becomes so unpredictable that its hard to put it down.
SETTING
Collins described the country of Panem so well that it made me sick to think about how it would be like to live in the districts. The place becomes so real that you can think of an alternative for the future of America besides "progress."
OVERALL
Three of the best books that have ever seen the light of day. Ok, I admit, the ending of Mockingjay did disappoint me, but the overall of Mockingjay makes up for it. (And if your younger then 12, just wait. The books are very vivid when speaking about the gruesome deaths)

Someone killing a bird? Pine, are you mistaking this for "To Kill a Mockingbird" ?
Cause that isn't about killing birds either

Pine, the Hunger Games is about a death tournament of children, and a rebellion to a cruel capitol. It's protagonist is bada** too! (Katniss)
