A pair of icy eyes glowed from a nearby bush. "Ah...forest cats. And ThuderClan too. Oh, how can this get any better?" A skinny, ragged brown body slipped out of a yew bush, eyes fixed on Deadfrost. He paused, grinning, his hollow face as eerie as an owl's. "You're that little apprentice that was with those other pathetic two, aren't you?" He laughed, voice like a snake.

Deadfrost bared his teeth in a wordless snarl.

Leopardheart's ears pricked. Something was not right.

The strange cat lashed his tail. His fur was glowing with a dull, dark dusk. "This time, you won't escape!" He leaped a Deadfrost, and tore a lump of fur out of his shoulder.

Deadfrost hissed in pain, and twisted around. He lashed a paw out, but it raked empty air.
He...he's so quick! The cat laughed. "Pathetic kit, you. Where's your companion? Did she run away?" he sneered.

Leopardheart burst into a run. Deadfrost has no chance of facing Dark Forest cats. THe only one that can defeat them is me!

Deadfrost snarled. "At least we have clear minds and groomed pelts!"
The cat rolled his dark eyes. "ThunderClan. Always have a stupid remark to everything that threatens the reputation of their Clan." He began laughing again.

IC: Deadfrost hissed again. "Hold your tongue, and fight you miserable lump of dung!" He flung himself at the rogue-cat, remembering the fight clearly now. This had been the first cat to attack him. He managed to knock the cat over and deal a slash to his muzzle. The cat spat grit, and dug his claws into Deadfrost's shoulders.

Leopardheart's muscles rippled as she bounded through the Dark Forest. "Hold on, Deadfrost!" she yowled.

A beautiful calico she-cat walked from behind a tree. "No so fast Deadfrost." She purred sinisterly, and she pulled a lump off fur with her. Rainpaw and Daykit was unconscious at her feet.

Deadfrost froze. Rainpaw.....Daykit.. Rage rose in his chest like a fountain. "You have my kits...and I'll have your pelt to line my nest. I'll leave your entrails out for the buzzards!" he spat wildly, claws unsheathed and lips drawn back.

Leopardheart heard the snarls. "No, Darkfrost! It's an illusion!"

IC: It was too late. By the time Deadfrost had heard the deputy's warning, the brown cat leaped on him, and pinned him down. He held a long, chipped claw to his throat. A mad grin crossed his mouth. "Stupid kit." He shook his head, looking disgraced. "ThunderClan. Too gullible."
