OATFLUFFare you going to age with grace? he/him - t3 windclan warrior
Oatfluff had awoken early as usual, excited to start the day. It was Smudgepaw's first day of training, after all! He was ecstatic he'd been chosen as her mentor. Out of all the warriors in WindClan, who he was sure were much more skilled than he, Rapidfire and Tigerstar had chosen him. He padded alongside his apprentice (his apprentice!) with his tail high and proud in the air. The mottled warrior looked over at the newly-named apprentice. He wasn't too familiar with Smudgepaw, but he was sure she would blossom into a strong warrior.
"How are you this morning, Smudge? Sorry if it's a bit early - I was excited to get a head start on your training." The stout warrior chuckled, hoping she wasn't too tired. Maybe tomorrow he'd let her sleep just a bit more. But the day was beautiful, the scent of heather and marigold drifting on the breeze and the birdsong as loud as ever. Newleaf was shaping up to be beautiful, and as the flowers bloomed more and more, he was almost sorry that greenleaf was just around the corner. Today, though, was a perfect day for hunting. "We're heading to the Tunnels right now! There's good hunting down below, if you know how to catch it. You can usually find rabbits hanging around the burrows, so I'm going to teach you how to hare - heh - after them!" Just like Quickfrost had taught him, all those moons ago. He felt a pang in his chest as he remembered that she was gone. Disappeared, apparently. Well, if she ever came back, she'd see what a loyal warrior she helped shape - and the young warrior he hoped to shape in turn. "Ready?"
