Going Out Alone

Stormwatcher paced back and forth.  His patrol mates were supposed to be here by now.  He wanted to get under way so that he could come back sooner and take a nap after their work was done.  These new rules put in place by Wolfstar were really slowing him down. It felt like his older sister was babysitting him and he was annoyed even further more by the extreme delay of having to wait for such a large group to gather before getting to do anything.  Nothing was gonna get done at this rate.

He would just go on his own, catch some food and be back before they were even half ready.  No one would even notice, Wolfstar and Birdstar (from above) would probably even be happy that he took the initiative and got something done.

So, he broke the rule about having to have such a large group and went out on his own.

Ambersun felt boxed in by the rules and confines herself. She wanted time to herself, but she also knew that her time to herself wasn't worth risking getting mauled by a wolf. And she still had vivid memories from that wolf all those moons ago.

She remembered saving Brackendawn from the wolf back then, how he kept on kicking and screaming at her while doing so, how they lost their path home, how they had to stay at Highstones for all those moons, how they finally found their path back home after everything.

The ginger she-cat wrapped her tail around Stormwatcher's before planting herself down. "So, sorry, but I can't let you go alone. You're waiting with me for the others to show up."

Stormwatcher's ears flicked as he heard the pawsteps approaching him. Had he really been seen so early??

He glanced over at his ginger pelted clanmate. His eyes stared off into nothingness as she spoke, everything she was saying made sense but still, he just wanted to get this going so he could go nap. The sooner they could figure out how riverclan had tricked this monster onto their land the sooner they could send it back to riverclan.

He was about to argue and say that they could go out together when she snagged his tail locking him down. He was forced to sit next to her and he looked blankly ahead but ambersunnnn!!! he complained resting his head on his front paws annoyed.
