Pineblossom

To say that Pineblossom and and Sablestrike had never seen eye to eye would be an understatement. She could count on one paw how many times they actually agreed, and those times were only technicalities at best. They never talked about it and they were never at one another’s throats. It was the one thing that Pineblossom respected about Sablestrike without any caveats: he at least understood when he was wrong and could accept that with something resembling grace. That was unfortunately something that Nightstalker never could learn. Him being chosen as deputy by Leopardstar was still a surprise, but she could accept it by that merit at least.

However, unlike Lilyvalley and Nettlepaw who could not seem to move past their differences at all, Pineblossom and Sablestrike could still work well together. That showed as they moved together through the territory to find prey to bring back. They had already found a couple of pieces each, burying their kills along the way so they could fetch them on the way back.

“So,” Pineblossom finally said after the past half hour of silence, “have things fared well for you?” She looked at him. “Is your eye injury healing alright?”
