The cool air of dusk greeted Hawkmist and his apprentice as they made their way out of camp, twin ghosts of white moving around the shadowy marsh. Hawkmist had been silent save for nudging Cloudpaw awake. Once outside, he pointed out a few landmarks to her as they moved about. Once he is certain she has oriented herself in the territory, he said, “We’ll begin with hunting.” He looked back at Cloudpaw. “Watch what I do, and then try to do it yourself.”

With a flick of his tail, he moved forward. It didn’t take long for Hawkfrost to catch the scent of a mouse scurrying amidst the foliage. With narrowed eyes, he dropped into a hunting crouch and crawled forward. When the mouse is close enough, he launched forward and pounced. With a clean bite, he finished off the mouse and walked back to Cloudpaw. "Your turn." He said.
