“Hey big guy,” she purred lightly. Comfreyheart sat down next to the almost identical kitten- her son Ivykit. Kind, confident, and the light of her life. Her puffy black tail wrapped around his small body. The molly often worried about her kits, mostly about the clan-spread illness. Thankfully, it was clear her litter had not caught any of that yet despite the weather. Comfreyheart attributed that piece of fortune to Fawnshine and Echosong’s arduous efforts. All that was left was imagining the future. With a smile she asked her son, “How has your day been? Are you excited to become an apprentice soon?”

Ivykit’s ears perked up as he heard the sound of his mother, whom he loved dearly, sitting next to him. The excitement of apprenticeship was clearly showing in his eyes. He smiled warmly at his mother as she curled him up in her tail.

"Yeah! Soon, I’ll be a big, strong warrior!" he mewled eagerly, happy to see Comfreyheart. Ivykit sometimes couldn’t even sleep because of his pure excitement. He purred delightfully, rubbing his body against his mother's. He was just a tiny bundle of joy and happiness, he curled his tail around his two front paws. He couldn’t wait to hunt mice and fight the big predators that lurked past the nursery.
