Moles aren't very quick, are they? (c)

Laying near the edge of his clanmates and being sure to keep some distance between him and the ill, per Daisypaw's orders, Molehill had situated himself in a tight ball as he rested peacefully. A soft breeze blew by and ruffled his fuzzy fur, sending a shiver up his spine, though he personally didn't mind the chilly air. Besides, more often than not he resided in a burrow or hole that he'd dug, but today he'd decided to enjoy the rays of sun that crept through the clouds above. Letting out a content sigh, the plump tom curled his short tail over his hind paws. His eyes were closed, but the warrior attentively listened to his nearby clanmates chat amongst themselves, his ears twitching every so often. If only ever day might be as tranquil as this.

Quickpaw had been walking about Windclan's chosen place to stay for the time being, it was weird but she was sure she could get used to it. She was getting ready to head towards her den to rest, but then she saw Molehill? At least that’s what she thought his name was. Hopefully it was. She thought for a minute, they were around the same age right? Perfect reason to go talk to him even if he was resting. So she walked over and simply said. “Hey Molehill, want to talk?” There wasn’t even a particular reason, she just felt like it.

Ears perking up as a voice spoke to him, Molehill opened his eyes and swiftly blinked for a few moments, giving his eyes a chance to focus. Lifting his head to see Quickpaw standing in front of him, a small smile grew on his maw. The apprentice sure had a confident way about her and he found himself appreciating her straightforwardness. "Oh, sure," the chestnut tom mewed in his usual gentle tone.

Quickpaw was glad Molehill was willing to talk, as she had wanted somecat to talk to that was actually near her age, that wasn’t part of her family. So she would simply start out with some questions. “What does it feel like to be a warrior?” She started with that one as she knew her own warrior ceremony was coming up, so it would be nice to know. Would it feel good? Great even? Maybe it wasn’t all that great with new responsibilities. She couldn’t really think of any responsibilities for a warrior besides if they just didn’t hunt. Maybe apprentices? Did Molehill even have one? Hard to tell.

Thinking about her question for a moment, the chestnut pelted tom had a difficult time coming up with an answer. He'd practically just become a warrior and hadn't had many duties bestowed onto him other than the usual hunting and using his skills to help dig out dens and nests. But, he wanted to give the apprentice at least some sort of answer, seeing as though her warrior ceremony had ought to be coming up soon. "Well, it's not too different..." he began, though he realized how glum such a response might've sounded to as aspiring apprentice. "But, the duties are just as important if not more than when I was an apprentice. Not saying apprentice duties aren't important, but being able to help out even more now has felt nice," the plump tom mewed with a meek smile, hoping he hadn't rambled on too long for Quickpaw.

Quickpaw felt as if something had been off from Molehill's answer, she couldn’t put her claw on it. She decided it didn’t really matter as she would be one any day now. She delightfully imagined the ceremony, her father watching proudly. Snapping back to reality she realized she was in the middle of a conversation. Not wanting the conversation to turn one-sided she said. “Really? I thought it’d be much nicer, not having to do apprentice duties and all.” Wanting to not leave him hanging on his answer she replied to him first then followed up with “Do you have any questions for me?” she said. She wanted it to seem as they were equally getting to know each other. With the question asked she sat down and relaxed as she realized she would be able to do this with any cat she wanted to know.
