This place is pretty dead... By which I mean, there's nothing to kill.

Ajex had heard the rumors from around the area, the whispered conversations of kittypets from as far as the Twolegplace about a strange night-killer among the woods, who stalked through the shadows and that no one actually saw. They could, of course, be just rumors, and he would have dismissed them easily had it not been for him spotting the mighty warrior with his own eyes. It had been the dead of night, and he had not seen him clearly, but he remembered the imposing figure and the paler scars that littered the huge figure. The rumors had said that the warrior was once the mighty leader of a Clan, and if that really was true, well, it was too good of an opportunity to miss.

The tabby now slipped through the shadows, the scent of the strange warrior all around him as he padded further into the forest. The night song of cicadas drowned out the noise of his pawsteps, and he made sure not to brush against any undergrowth. Ajex looked around him, blue eyes searching for the fallen leader with a burning hunger.

One did not get as old as him being careless, and even more so one didn't get away from detection especially when one was very unpopular amongst the masses. Claws were unsheathed as the Shadowclan... ex-Shadowclan warrior hid beneath a bramble thicket, thin and lithe and able to take advantage of the gap that most thickly built cats would be unable to use. Claws unsheathed and silently gripped into the forest floor, amber eyes tracking a familiar rogue. Nightstalker's greying muzzle curled as his lips pulled back to reveal yellowing teeth as his gaze followed the rogue.

No matter the previous interaction, Ajex was still a rogue, and one that had friends... Imagery flashed behind the older tom's eyes as he remembered the last rogue he clashed with, and when that rogue was put to death, the resulting raid of his clan, family, and loved ones adorning the backs of strangers. Anger built and Nightstalker advanced, easing himself into a crouch, and within a heartbeat he was on Ajex's back.

Claws fastened into muscled shoulders, and Nightstalker's jaws snapped around the tom-cats scruff.

Nightstalker used Jumping Strike, Dealing 14 total damage, (10+3+1) and costing 7 stamina.

Ajex felt the change in the air a moment too late. He turned, expecting to come face-to-face with his opponent, but the attack came from above. Teeth and claws tore through his skin, and pain seered through him in waves. His survival instincts kicked in, and he let himself roll with the impact before landing gracefully on all fours. Blue eyes darted over his opponent, sizing him up. One blow and already he knew his chances of winning were slim. Well, no matter. What was important was that he had a chance to learn.

Ignoring the pain that bloomed from his wounds, the younger tom slid gracefully under Nightstalker and emerged on the other side, fangs all too ready to sink into the black tom's scruff. Ajex clamped down as hard as he could, then swung the tom from side to side like a piece of prey before throwing him roughly to the side. Blue eyes watched his opponent intently, waiting for the tom to get up once more.

Ajex used Scruff Shake, dealing 8dmg and -20SP
