//happens right after the August medicine cat meeting
Echosong couldn't help but rush home. The prophecy and omen Fawnshine and him received replayed in his head the whole way home, the tom was unable to think about anything else. From the reactions of Sandyshell, Echosong assumed all clans got some sort of scary no-good prophecy.
It was a few hours before sunrise by the time they got home, the tom's fur rose on his hackles and he couldn't hide the fear and worry in his eyes as he rushed to the warrior's den to collect Acornstem. She had to be at this meeting. Echosong quickly stepped over his clanmates until he got to his friend's nest, pushing her shoulder until she awoke he whispered, "Meet us in Mottlestar's den, quick."
With that, he exited the den and met up with Fawnshine outside of his leaders' den. On the way home they had agreed they needed to tell Mottlestar and Acornstem before anyone. Anxiety clawed at him as he stood outside of the den, his paws felt itchy and his tail lashed. Something was going to happen and if they didn't figure it out, death was as sure as the sun rising.

A soft grunt escaped Acornstem as she was stirred from her slumber by a firm but gentle paw. Her ears twitched as she realized it was Echosong - lifting her head just in time to see him slipping from the den. That...Wasn't good. She pushed herself to her paws, giving her body a shake as she felt thankful for how quickly she could wake up - she might have just been sound asleep a few moments ago but all it took was a bit of movement for her mind to be a sharp as if she had been awake for a while.
Carefully padding around her Clanmates to avoid waking them, the slipped out into the air and glanced at the sky. It was late - morning wouldn't be far and Echosong had just... It was the half-moon, she realized as she stared at where it hung silently in the sky. To wake her up after the medicine cat gathering was...Concerning as she felt her fur prickle, picking up her pace as she quickly reached Echosong's side, eyes wide as she studied him. "StarClan sent you a message, didn't they?" she breathed - pressing her shoulder against his for an act of comfort. She...She was pretty sure she already knew the answer and had a feeling it wasn't a good one if he saw fit to speak to them both about it right away.
