Being in the warrior's den again felt foreign to Shrikestorm. His own name felt weird on his tongue. Stepping down as leader of WindClan hadn't been easy, especially knowing how many in his own clan were happy to see him do it. It weighed on him, making it hard to even look his own clanmates in the eye. There was one clanmate in particular he couldn't ignore, though: his mate, Coyotegrin. Things had been tense between the two for a while, and he wasn't even sure where he stood in her graces at the moment. He needed a place to sleep, though would his mate want him sleeping next to her? "Coyotegrin?" He eventually had to make his way to Coyotegrin, feeling a strange awkwardness about himself. He hoped it didn't show. "Would it... be okay if I slept next to you again?"
