The sun was high in the air by the time the fluffy white tom reached the fallen oak, he was accompanied by a few warriors who wanted to go on a small border patrol, but his goal was to search for more comfrey root. They had used quite a lot of it in recent days with injuries and stocking up before leaf-fall was always a good idea.
Humming a soft tune he had heard his mother sing for him before, the tom searched through the tall grasses that had grown around the ancient tree. He could tell two-legs hadn't recently been galavanting through the forest, the path that had once been there was completely overgrown and nicely filled in by grasses and weeds - the perfect place to find comfrey.
"Ah-ha! This is comfrey root. They're large leaves with bell-shaped flowers ranging from pink, purple, to white. They're a bit advanced, but I suppose you may be interested in her name origin. The herb can be used to ease sore and stiff joints, helps repair broken bones, and helps soothe wrenched claws. They're found in damp and grassy areas." he scripted, as he recalled the first 'training' session he had gotten from Fawnshine. At the time he was a regular apprentice with a simple interest in herbs, how interesting it was to look back on those moments. "Is there anything you'd like to know more, Echopaw?" he mumbled as he used his paws to dig the root of the flower. He only had one claw on each paw remaining due to the Twolegs taking them but he was making his best attempt, that was for sure.
