Tawnyshadow stretched, tail curling over her back as she yawned. The sun had just set, and already her kits were energetic enough to make enough clamor to wake the entire forest. Did kits never sleep? She glanced over to the corner of the nursery, where her one-moon old daughters hopped around like frogs. At least they were training their muscles, even if it had to be through play-fighting like rouges. The queen watched her kits play in silence, alert in case one of them got a bit too rowdy and she had to step in and pull them apart.

Moonkit hopped around the corner of the nursery with her siblings. The little black kit felt so energetic, as if she had limitless amounts of energy. Everything felt so new to her! The smell of the nursery, the sight of the walls, the feel of the floor...its all so exciting!
Suddenly, Moonkit had a great idea. "Why don't we play a game? To see who hops the highest?" | "To see who hops the highest?" Sloekit suddenly halted in her hopping, eyes narrowing to slits. If anyone was going to hop the highest, it would be her...it had to be her. Their mother was watching and, well, Sloekit had to impress her. She had to be better than her siblings, otherwise, how else could she be special from her nearly identical littermates? She felt a burning in her chest - a sort of envy mixed with ambition.

The night was new, long stripes of darkness cast by the beams of the setting sun, and Sagekit was pouncing ray to ray through the dappled shadows. She met Moonkit's shinning eyes at her sister's excited suggestion. Sagekit shrugged, turning to look at Sloekit as well. Her sister's eyes narrowed to determined slits. The nearly identical sleek black kit nodded with an owlish blink of her yellow eyes. Their game was decided then. She wiggled and ducked down, ready to spring up like a frog. - OOC:

Sagekit hopped up gracefully on the spot, little legs springier than any frog in the forest. She landed on silent paws which disturbed not a single pine-needle on the padded floor of the nursery. Was that it? The game was so easy! Sagekit was bored of it already. ❋ ❋ ❋

And just like that, her kits were springing up and around as if they were trying to fly. Tawnyshadow didn't know whether to stop them or let them have their fun. On one paw, it would train their skills, but on the other paw they were disturbing the other queens. Finally, she sighed and stayed where she was. Her kits would have to learn eventually, even if it was through a few painful slams against the nursery walls.
