This was an absolutely terrible idea.
Drizzlepool had not settled into warrior duties even the tiniest bit before being assigned an apprentice. Her. An apprentice. Not only had she been assigned an apprentice, the apprentice in question was Swanpaw. The bratty kit who had just… insulted her in the middle of camp! Ugh! It was not harshly that Drizzlepool roused her new apprentice right before dawn, but it most certainly was not gently.
The wispy-pelted molly flicked her tail, leading the way off into the territory without so much as a glance behind her.

If her mentor had been anyone else, Swanpaw was sure she'd be bursting with excitement to be able to train. She still abandoned her nest quickly, though it was more to show Drizzlepool that she was capable of keeping up, rather than true excitement - which had been dampened the moment Perchstar had said she was to be her mentor.
Pale blue eyes surveyed the territory curiously as she followed at Dizzlepool's heels, taking in the new sights and smells around them. Her mentor meanwhile, remained silent, and it left Swanpaw unsure of what to expect out of today's training. Guilt and embarrassment nagged at her from their encounter when she'd still been a kit... But she wasn't sure how or even if it should be addressed.
