Nectarkit bounded to and fro, darting from one end of the camp to the other like a cat on a mission. She suddenly skidded to a halt as a spot of yellow caught her eye. The young kit scampered closer to the patches of yellow and released a tiny squeal of delight when she realized that it wasn't just oddly colored grass, it was flowers! And they were growing right on the outskirts of the camp! One by one, the tortoiseshell she-kit nipped the flowers from their stalks and vanished into a patch of tall grass beside the nursery.

She had noticed the tense mood in Windclan lately, and though she didn't understand what every cat was so angry about, she wanted to do something about it! the older cats especially seemed pretty upset with whatever it was that was going on. So, Nectarkit's solution was cute little bundles of pretty wildflowers, feathers, and grasses!

Who didn't love feathers and soft grasses to line their nest? Or pretty little flowers to decorate their den? Grinning, Nectarkit stuffed the newly acquired flowers into her leaf-wrapped bundles and sat back to admire her work. This would do nicely! Her mother, upon request, had been happy to show Nectarkit how to tie the bundles up just right and though some of them looked...messy...Nectarkit was proud of herself for what she had accomplished! Her clanmates would love them!

The kit's tail whisked from side to side as she gently grabbed a bundle in her jaws and emerged from her secret workshop. Surely someone around the camp was in need of a little pick-me-up, but who? The she-kit's green eyes trailed over the camp as she searched for her first victim, her fur bristling with excitement.

Fernpaw was sick of all the herbs she had been forced to eat during her recovery. That nasty fall, while she was recklessly running through the moors, left her with a broken paw that was just starting to heal. Batsong was nice and all, but the feisty she-cat felt depressed and caged in a den all day and night. She wanted to return to her training and become a warrior soon. She had to catch her denmates.

Thus, in order to start recovering faster, the white and grey she-cat had been taking walks around camp, getting her legs stronger. Her body emerged from the medicine cat den and the sun warming her fur made her smile. The tensions were high since the gathering and Fernpaw was still pissed with Shadownclan's leader, but now... she was glad to just be outside. Her odd eyes caught the size of a new kitten in the clan. The apprentice tilted her head with curiosity, seeing the younger she-cat carry a bunch of plants with her. "Hey, kiddo!" She mewed, limping her way to the smaller cat. "What do you have there? Are you planning to be Batsong's apprentice?"

As Nectarkit searched for her target, the grass around the medicine cat's den rustled, drawing her attention to the other end of the camp. The young kit's eyes went wide as she locked onto one of Windclan's apprentices. Ooh, the poor thing looked hurt! Nectarkit briefly wondered what had happened to the she-cat's paw. Was it a badger!? A dog!? Maybe it was one of those other clans???

Either way, the white and grey she-cat couldn't be all to happy with being injured, she was the perfect candidate for one of Nectarkit's flower bundles! Oh! And she had already caught her attention, perfect! Nectarkit hurried over to the apprentice, meeting her in the middle of the clearing.

The tortoiseshell kit giggled and shook her head at the older cat's question. "Hi! And no - these aren't herbs silly!" Nectarkit proudly placed the bundle of feathers and flowers at the other cat's paws, smiling as if someone had told her some very good news. "These are for you, actually! I call them little bundles of joy!"

Nectarkit danced closer to the apprentice, her eyes glimmering with excitement. "This one is special! It has a pretty white feather in it, look!" Nectarkit demonstrated and touched the aforementioned feather with her nose. "It'll make you feel better!"

Nectarkit smiled up at the she-cat, her heart pounding in her chest as she waited for either approval or a stern reprimand. Would she like it? Would the little bundle really make the injured she-cat feel better?

Fernpaw looked at the kitten with a half-smile. Her excitement was contagious and she couldn't help but smile with the kit. "Bundles of joy, huh? That's something I never heard of." She said while looking at the mix of flowers and feathers that Nectarkit had placed in her paw. The white and grey she-cat recognized some of the plants... she has seen them while going on patrol and hunting before she got hurt. A nostalgic, yet happy feeling filled her chest as she remembered what it was like to run in the moors, with all these flowers around.

The apprentice's attention drifted back to the kitten as she proudly spoke about the white feather in the bundle. The older cat watched her touch the feather and her face full of anticipation for Fernpaw's reaction. Though she wouldn't usually consider herself a flower-lover, this bundle did indeed come at the right time. It reminded her of her love for Windclan's lands and it made her feel more motivated to get better. "Let's see..." She mewed as she grabbed the feather with her free paw and bring it closer to touch it, just like Nectarkit did. "Mmm..." She pretended to think for a few seconds and closed her green and blue eyes. Suddenly, the apprentice opened her eyes back and leapt, despite her injured paw. Fernpaw lowered the upper part of her body to meet Nectarkit eyes and smiled. "It does make me feel better. I can barely feel any pain now." She purred gleefully while moving her leg to show it. The apprentice lifted her front paw to touch the kitten's forehead in an affectionate way. "This was your idea? You really are a smart kit." Fernpaw carefully placed the tail on her lower back as decoration and looked back at the kit. "And these flowers are perfect for my moss bed. Their smell will surely make dream of the Flower Fields of the moors. Maybe one day I can bring you there and we can make more of your bundles. What do you think?"

Nectarkit hung on the apprentice's every word, her green eyes wide with anticipation. She snorted softly at Fernpaw's first announcement, slightly amused. Well of course she'd never heard of such bundles before! Nectarkit had invented them herself with the sole purpose of bringing joy and light to the cats of Windclan! No other cat had done such a thing! Well, not that Nectarkit knew of, anyway.

The kit examined the older cat's expression, searching for any signs of joy or overwhelming excitement. She needed to know if these little bundles actually helped cats! If not, it was back to the drawing board.

As Fernpaw judged her creation, Nectarkit leaned forward, her hind paws barely touching the ground as she waited with baited breath for Fernpaw's judgement. "Mhmmm???"Ohhhh, what would she say!? The suspense was killing her!

Suddenly, Fernpaw leapt up, seeming to be in better spirits. Wow! Nectarkit peered down at the collection of flowers and feathers, her eyes wide. Did they really work!? The she-kit turned her attention back to Fernpaw, who was moving her injured foot - seemingly without any pain! Nectarkit jumped up and down, squealing with happiness. Oh wow, oh wow! It really really worked!

"I'm so so so glad they helped!" She purred loudly, leaning into Fernpaw's touch. Were all apprentices this nice? Why hadn't she thought to give them gifts ages ago!? Nectarkit's tail swished across the ground as she listened to Fernpaw. The flower fields? That sounded amazing! She grinned and she looked up at the other she-cat, thoughtful.

"I'd love to go! Can I show you how to make my bundles of joy? Its really not so difficult once you get the hang of it!" She peered up at Fernpaw, giddy. Obviously, the apprentice only intended to pick flowers once she was old enough to leave the camp, but Nectarkit couldn't help being excited!
