She wasn't sure how she felt about this - sparring was fun. She liked fighting, she could forget all of her worries in the thick of battle and focus on reaction only. There was no time to think, only act. It was...Nice. A force distance from the doubts she worked so hard to quell. What she hadn't been expecting was a request from Leopardsun to spar an...Apprentice of all things. She suppose it made sense, it was best for everybody to learn how to hold your own against a stronger foe but it was with a cat she barely talked to - then again, she barely talked to a lot of her Clanmates if they weren't part of her family...
But he somewhat was now, wasn't he? Or at least, Honeylight, who her mother thought fondly off, seemed to think fondly of Silverpaw and... Well, he had seemed more than excited when she had told him of the training session. She could respect that, a fondness for fighting even if she wasn't sure what to think of him but... She wasn't going to disappoint her mother and back out of this no matter her uncertainties. She came to a stop within the Pine Grove - she had wanted a nice private area for their spar, to see how well he would do against her when the only cat he had to prove himself too was her.
She glanced over her shoulder to stare at the tom, swishing a tail in his direction. "The first move can be yours," she meowed as she turned to face off against him, lowering her head as she dropped into a combat stance. "Show me what you can do, Silverpaw."

Silverpaw
Silverpaw quickly found out he liked sparring. It was his favorite part of training so far, and a good way to let out the extra energy he carried. He wasn’t great at it- not yet, at least, but he was determined to get better. Fast. And the more often he practiced, the faster he would start to excel. His tail quivered with excitement the entire trek to the Pine Grove, but he kept the points of his teeth against his tongue to keep quiet while they walked.
Eventually, they came to a stop in the clearing, and Silverpaw brought his attention away from the towering pines to look at Badgermask when she waved her tail. He regarded her with quiet curiosity, watching her as she spoke, but a smile instantly lit up his face when her body sank, bracing for combat. “I won’t disappoint you.” He promised with a firm nod before settling into a mimicry of her stance. His tail lashed once, then Silverpaw threw himself forward.
He collided into Badgermask hard, driving himself with enough force to roll her to the ground, nearly bowling himself over with the shock of distance dropping beneath him. “Sorry,” he mewed quietly, though he didn’t remove his paws from her shoulder or side, holding himself as firmly in place as he could.
Silverpaw used Leap and Hold, dealing 7 (6+1) damage and costing 15 SP. Badgermask is pinned for 2 turns.

Badgermask said nothing at his words, simply narrowing her eyes as she readied for him - but it clearly wasn't enough as he darted towards her and rammed into her hard, knocking her paws from beneath her. Her paws were underneath her stomach in an instance but her attempt to push upright was stopped by Silverpaw holding her down with as much weight as he could manage, offering up an apology for it. She huffed, wasting no time as she threw her weight towards him, trying to knock him backwards to give herself enough time to scramble to her paws.
Apologizes had no place in the battlefield after all, it was a sign of hesitation and she wanted her - and her Clanmates - to be above doubts when lives could very much be on the line in a proper battle.
...It seemed that while her footing hadn't been sure enough, Silverpaw's foot was as he refused to budge, causing her to huff as she was stuck laying there. She flickered a pointed ear at the apprentice, finally choosing to speak. "Don't apologize," she retorted, shrugging as well as she could from her position. "No hesitation, no doubts, even in this spar - you got me fair and square. Its a good pin, I'll give you that."
Badgermask used Duck-and-Twist, attempting to break the pin, costing 5 stamina. Badgermask failed to break the pin, dealing 4 damage to Silverpaw. Badgermask is pinned for 1 more turn.
