Deadfrost narrowed his eyes, then relaxed. "If I can keep secrets, I hope you can. We just had a fire in our camp. But we're coping fine." He showed him the burn. "I had to save several cats, as you can see," he mewed, with a twitch of his whiskers.

"I see, and what secrets do you keeep?"

Deadfrost drew his tongue over his paw. "Oh, nothing, just how I died." He eyed him, but not with hostility. "You know Featherfall and Sunset would hate you for that. But I will not tell them."

"I don't care, they both already do," He mewed.

Deadfrost sighed. "Sunset's you mate! She doesn't hate you!"
