The Huntsman [SOLO]

Redice had been humming a tune as he killed rats left and right. A counting game, he decided. The humming and the game eventually wove themselves together into a song. The carrion place smelled of trash and decay, but it didn't take long for the red tom to become accustomed to the smell. He slapped a rat in the side with his claws, the overly fat mammal splitting open like an overly full trash bag like the landscape the surrounded them. Redice didn't kill it quickly, but instead, let it writhe around in agony before it drew it's last breath. How many had that been? Ten?

"One, two... I am hunting for you.
Three, four... Gonna kill some more.
Five, six... Fall on sharpened sticks.
Seven, eight... This one I'll decapitate.
Nine, ... Nine?"

Shoot... he needed to kill one more. Just one more!

Redice saw a rat skitter by in a panic, and with a thrill of delight and swiped at it with his claws. He splayed the creature open, it's fat body hitting a trash bag with a thump before it hit the ground. It writhed and it shuddered... and Redice just watched and chuckled.

"Nine, ten... Never breathe again."

Perfect! He purred at his work, gathering up all of the rats he'd killed by their tails. Ten of them! Surely he;d won the hunting game for today. Surely!
