Night had closed in when Darkspirit made it back to camp. He was covered in fresh, bloody scratches and teeth marks. The claw marks were spread out wider than most cats' paws and the bite marks were just as impressive. A hint of Skyclan scent still lingered on the tom's body as well. Regardless, Darkspirit tried to sneak quietly into camp and not raise any alarm. It wasn't his intention to start any problems. He wanted to visit the medicine den, get the basic care he needed, then go to sleep and be ready for work the next morning. The stench of blood was overwhelming even to him... so he could only imagine that his presence would not go unnoticed. The multi-colored tom skulked into camp like he always did and made the attempt to go as unnoticed as possible despite his condition.

Thrushpaw lay curled up inside the apprentice's den as night fell upon the camp, sharing the warmth of other apprentices inside his nest as he huddled up against them. However, unable to fall asleep just yet, his ears pricked up at the sound of paws padding into camp. Opening his eyes, he was able to a figure through the holes of the carefully-constructed den, and he rose, slowly. From what he detected, there didn't seem to be the scent of an enemy clan — at least, that was until he slipped out of the den, and carefully crept up to the warrior.

Blood was the first thing that hit his nostrils, and Thrushpaw backed away, his figure tensing. Then, he smelled another faint scent on the warrior — presumably SkyClan's? There were all sorts of fresh claw marks on the tom. Thrushpaw could only imagine what kind of fight he got into, and while he as an apprentice shouldn't probably get involved in something like this, he didn't want to just ignore it and go back to sleep. So, tilting his head, he took a cautious step forward, blinking up at Darkspirit.

"Hey, are you alright? Should I go awake Fawnshine? You seem really injured."

Of course his presence hadn't gone unnoticed. It had been a long shot, he knew, but still. He couldn't hide the disappointment on his face as Thrushpaw approached him. He eyed him for a moment as he spoke. Darkspirit took a deep breath, collecting the speech he had ready for anyone that was about to ask.

"It was just a little misunderstanding on the Thunderpath. It's no big deal. If you could awaken Fawnshine I'd appreciate it, but only Fawnshine. Alright?"

His tone was neutral but firm. The apprentice wasn't wrong for asking, but he'd hoped as few as possible would know. He was unlikely to give the whole story anyway. He'd attacked Bloodstrike first. Darkspirit made his way slowly to the medicine den, but waited outside of it. Thrushpaw wanted to help, and he'd rather have the apprentice focused on telling Fawnshine and not anyone else.
