a new face [OPEN]

The silver-grey tabby was perched atop the low branches of an oak tree, his figure outlined gold against the setting sun. Though his body bore signs of a long, tired journey, his sky-blue eyes betrayed little past a slight interest in the new place he had found himself straying into. The tom watched as monsters sped past on the Thunderpath a few fox-lengths away, sending clouds of dust up in their wake, and sparrows flutter around on the ground below. His belly rumbled with hunger, and the tom narrowed his eyes at the skinny birds below. Hunting hadn't been easy, considering the cold season, and his journey definetly hadn't helped.

He pressed himself to the branch, his body tensed in preparation to lunge downwards. Just as he was about to jump, another cat stepped forward, scarring the scrawny birds into flight. The tabby's eyes watched the brown birds dart away, soon disappearing into the midst of the Twolegplace, before turning his attention to the cat that had just prolonged his hunger, a slightly annoyed expression on his face.

Boogi strolls her way through the trees. With slight glances through her peripherals she catches a glimpse of a tabby perching on a branch. "What are you doing...," she whispers to herself. Boogi quietly crept behind a tree to watch with curiosity. Gliding her eyes through the trees, she finds a batch of fresh prey, birds. All huddled together perfectly placed for a hunt.

Stalking around the trees and branches, Boogi pounces towards the birds. Not quick enough, brown birds flew through the sky in a flutter. Glances upwards, this tabby is looking at her with a sense of annoyance. "Problem? All birds aren't yours."

The tom felt a tired smile make its way onto his face. What this new cat said wasn't exactly wrong, was it? "No, but I was hoping to get a meal," He answered, jumping down from his perch and landing gracefully on all fours. Now that he was much closer to the cat, he could see that it was a she-cat, with some attitude it seemed from the fire in her eyes... though it wasn't exactly a bad thing.

"Well, then, since I'm new around here and you did scare off a meal, mind showing me a spot to hunt?" He asked politely, tipping his head to the side as he awaited the she-cat's answer.
